Charming, Eco-Friendly Cabin Retreat, Heart of Deep Creek

Our cabin is a charming retreat in a native woodland setting. It's in the heart of Deep Creek Lake, offering recreational activities year round. Wisp Ski Resort is 3 miles and the lake is a short stroll away. Stay at our cozy hideaway under the stars. In winter you'll find a snow filled wonderland as you relax by the crackling fire. Spring, summer or fall take a swim, explore nature or go boating. Go to the nearby cafe or stay and have cappuccino on the deck. Take a day trip to Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater. Our cabin is an accommodating, truly hip, cozy getaway for families and singles. It's the place for a wonderful healthy break at an affordable price.

We will continue to make changes to the property in keeping with a greener world. We would appreciate your insights in creating a 'greener' cabin as well. Here's to a healthy body, mind, planet and lifestyle. We look forward to sharing our cabin retreat with you.


Eco Friendly Living: It's our goal to have the cabin completely renewable(green)and self sufficient, as soon as technology and financing allows. Currently we have used eco-paints that do not emit harmful gases. We've furnished the cabin using Craig's list which means most everything is recycled at least one generation. We use renewable products and recycle whenever possible. Water is renewably drawn from our well and heat is enhanced by the fireplace. Safe keyless entry!

Beautiful landscape

The landscaping was so pretty with lots of wild life to watch. The house is rustic but clean. Be aware, if you are older or have knee problems, the inside stairs are very steep. There are outside stairs that are normal but unfortunately it was cold and rainy while we were there. It was a relaxing getaway.

Charming Cabin Getaway

We enjoyed the peaceful, quiet and comfortable accommodations. The fire pit, hot tub, and lights surrounding the property and on the deck were spectacular. We’d love to come back and spend more time!

Wonderful stay in a beautiful cabin!

We went for a quick anniversary getaway and had a wonderful time! The cabin was well-equipped, clean, and lovely. After our day out hiking around the nearby waterfalls, the hot tub was a treat! This location was ideal if you want some privacy but still close to all the local attractions. Highly recommend.

Lovely

The cabin was cozy and nicely decorated. It felt like we were at a friends house. We brought our 14, 11 and 8 year old and my middle daughter brought a friend. We had plenty of room for everyone to relax. Well located to activities, dining and shopping. We would stay here again anytime!

A relaxing escape for 2020

My family had a wonderful time at this relaxing little cabin. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, and taking hikes at the nearby parks. My daughter really liked the bunk beds and all the little touches throughout the cabin. She did remote kindergarten for a few days while we were visiting with no internet problems.

Cozy cabin in the woods

We had such a fun and comfy stay at Dale's place! She is a great host and the cabin is so full of character, with tons of games, books and movies available for use. The place was spotless and the kitchen and pantry were both fully stocked with pretty much any item you could need (even marshmallows to toast over the firepit!). Super cute and very warm and cozy - it has a secluded feel to it, yet is very close to many activities. My kids absolutely loved it. This one is for sure a keeper...we will be back. Thanks for your hospitality, Dale!

It WAS a charming cabin!

We loved everything about it, clean and super comfortable… the decor, yard lights and setting had a great feel. Cabin had everything we needed/wanted. So much so that we overpacked. Hot tub was great for the first night and appreciated even more after a long day on the slopes. Close to Wisp and restaurants, this is absolutely an annual spot for us now! Thank you Dale and Sean!!

Perfect weekend getaway

This was the perfect time weekend getaway for my husband and I, to celebrate our anniversary! We picked the perfect weekend, the trees and lake were stunning! The cool air was a perfect match for a bonfire and hot tub evening. We had everything needed to cook a nice dinner and enjoy the scenery. Plan to bring the kids back another time, since the house would be great for our multiple teenagers!! Cant wait to return!

Incredible cabin

I can’t even express how incredible this cabin was. It’s absolutely beautiful and the natural rocks add such an appeal that pictures don’t do it justice. Dale, our host, was awesome!! She sent us pages of recommendations and need to know stuff that truly helped make our weekend even better!! We will definitely be back to this cabin and plan to stay at least another day. It truly was magical!!

A Little Piece Of Heaven

From start to finish this property exceeded our expectations. Beautifully appointed and well taken care of. You can relax under the stars in the hot tub, or roast marshmallows in the large, new fireput. Dale is such a gracious host and only a phone call away. We highly recommend this property, you won’t be disappointed.

Sweetest cabin near the lake

What an amazing priority this is!! The cabin is so well maintained and so welcoming. The back deck is absolutely perfect!! It is so roomy and the serenity of the scenery is breathtaking. Would highly recommend and would defibitely return. The homeowners were wonderful with communication and making sure we would enjoy our stay. Two thumbs!! Cheers!!

It was the best mini vacation. The property was amazing. Very clean, completely stocked. Cozy and loved the layout of the house. I wanted to move there and never leave. Any contact with owner was answered quickly. They are amazing individuals and so nice. There is notes what to do with anything you need to use in house. I will definitely go and stay again. Thank you to the owners and third party people. You are amazing and the property is.

Simply the best 🌄

The cabin is just perfect! If you didn't bring something, chances are it's there. Coffee filters, sugar, marshmallows, spices, oil, cooking spray just to name a few. We just arrived home this afternoon and wish we could've stayed longer. The pictures are exactly as shown in the listing. Comfy beds and just a sweet place. The hot tub is so relaxing and outdoor living space is stunning. Thanks Dale and Sean for an amazing stay! We will be back.

Charming Get Away

We stayed for the Memorial Day weekend and had a blast! The cabin is located in a quiet area, but is also conveniently located to numerous recreational activities and restaurants. We had great weather and found lots to do locally; many had been suggested by our hosts in a well prepared Welcome book at the property. In the evenings, we extended our time outdoors; using the hot tub, picnic table and fire pit. Our group included a "tween" who found lots of games and books to enjoy. We also had an 18-month old child with us. The owners communicated with us to prepare a safe environment. All 6 of us agreed - it was wonderful!
