Guests are welcome to enjoy the shared Beach Lobby during the length of their stay. This area includes a Beach Bar, Flatscreen TV, Hammocks, Games, and Lounge-style seating.
Our spacious indoor living room includes 2 large couches, 2 Flatscreen TVs, and board games. Access popular streaming platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, and HBO Max.
Flatscreen TVs can be used for presentations or meetings. Lounge-style seating can be replaced for banquet chairs for conferences.

Your rental is called "The Sanctuary"; a historic church created in 1909 by renowned architect IRVING GILL.

In addition to your private spaces, our resort has an award-winning Beach Boardwalk event space. Upgrade/add rentals to host retreats, family reunions or any large groups.

Your rental is called "The Sanctuary"; a historic church created in 1909 by renowned architect IRVING GILL. This is a 6BR listing includes huge private spaces and luxury. With 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 19 beds, pool table, massive private deck with bbq sink, games and plentiful seating for large groups and private events (upgrade).

PRIVATE SPACES (for your group only):

(1) The Sanctuary (historic church from 1909) includes 4 bedrooms with 12 beds and 3 bathrooms.

(2) Bunk Rooms includes 2 bedrooms, 8 beds and 2 bathrooms, living room and kitchenette

(3) Sanctuary Deck, suitable for huge groups, reunions, retreats. This space is all yours for the entire stay.

SHARED ACCESS (resort amenities within Good Life Resort): In addition to your private spaces, our resort has an award-winning Beach Boardwalk event space. Perfect for retreats, family reunions or any large groups.

(4) Access to our award-winning Beach Boardwalk lobby. The perfect place to enjoy fresh air, San Diego sun and good beach vibes. We have created an oasis in our resort for all guests to enjoy. If you want to host a private event, please inquiry as we are happy to host you for a small upgrade fee.

Amazing Stay at Sanctuary

Finding a place to stay for 20+ people isn't easy, but Josh and Good Life Resorts made it. The Sanctuary is an extremely cool and unique property. My group and I had a blast, and Josh and his accommodating team are to thank for that. I highly recommend this property for large groups such as a bachelor party, wanting to come to San Diego.

Great family time !

Everything was very clean and ready for our large family group in the Historic Church and Bunk House. We had a great stay - there were 23 of us, (my kids, their spouses and my 16 grandkids ages 19 to 6). Plenty of room to make meals in the huge kitchen and the 2 out door bbq areas and also to spread out while not out exploring San Diego. It was close to many places we wanted to go to so that was a plus. We had a few hiccups that were remedied very quickly. Josh and his team were great communicators and easy to get ahold of for any questions. Don't let the entrance of the alley scare you, once inside the gates it is a really great place to spend some time and very safe. I would recommend this place to others. Thanks Josh for having us. We made lots of great memories!!
