What a beautiful house!! Between the pond, hot tub, and the hideaway tucked in the trees, this the perfect location for a relaxing bachelorette trip. Communication with the host was easy & they accommodated us exceedingly well. Would love to book again given the chance!
Our daughter was getting married close by and the house provided a nice gathering place for family and friends. The house was clean and we enjoyed the outside area. I would definitely recommend this house. Also, Daniel was quick to respond to my texts.
It was a very nice experience for the whole family to be in a very cozy house, the area is beautiful, everything is close to go shopping, I recommend it 100% for those who like to go enjoy nature, thanks to Daniel for allow us to use your house to spend a pleasant family weekend.
We had a wonderful time staying at this location. The lister was a very good communicator and our check-in and check-out processes were effortless. The property was in great condition and all the appliances worked well. We are very happy we chose this location and will be back.
Stayed for a long weekend to attend son’s wedding in the area. The house was great and met our needs well. The pond had plenty of fish and the young folks enjoyed the hot tub. Daniel is an excellent host and was very responsive!
Loved that it was remote but still close enough to town. Roomy house for sure. I would just suggest to bring your own toiletries. We had a bit of an issue with the Wi-Fi but I did not contact the host about it because we really didn't care we were not there for the Wi-Fi 😀. Overall I would stay again. Good communication with the host.
While we enjoyed the property and house overall, we were disappointed that the listing was for four bedrooms when in fact it is three bedrooms. The owner didn’t tell us until the day of check in that the wall between two bedrooms had to be opened due to a county ordinance, and was now divided by a curtain. This allowed for no privacy and with the toddler, we had to shift due to noise, etc. The owner said he would be installing barn doors next week… I would confirm prior to booking if you truly need four bedrooms as we did. The house is historic and has many space options for relaxing, etc. Be aware, this house does have many small threshold level changes and a narrow, very steep staircase to the second level. At the top of the steps are more threshold level changes. For most of us this was not an issue, but for my 81 year old mother we had to be very careful. Again, just good to know. The pond is amazing, the tree house very nice, and we enjoyed the property immensely. Down the road (5 minute walk) is a school/park where we played soccer and enjoyed more outdoor activities. The kitchen has decent supplies (very limited cutlery but great plates and cups)… definitely good kitchen for family gatherings. We did have lots of flickering lights; we didn’t know if it was associated with a nearby tree fall issue. We did not lose power. Daniel was kind and responsive. Overall a positive experience.
We chose the house because of its proximity to portions of the Appalachian Trail in PA, NJ, NY as well as New York City.
The house is a newly renovated farmhouse with plenty of space for our group of six adults and dogs. We were comfortable whether inside or outside around the fire place. There was even a deer which came to visit--apparently with no fear of humans--so several of us could actually pet him. He was not even scared of he dogs who barked at himfrom the screened porch. Somehow he knew he was safe.
Dan, the owner, was installing a hot tub and we had the opportunity to test drive it after a day on trail.
Dan was very responsive and accommodating throughout.
6 adults & 5 children age range 3.5 - 12.5. They liked the “tree house” a lot and they had a squealing good time catching fish from the pond (& throwing them back in). Made a fire in the pit one night .. shouldda had marshmallows. The hot tub allured the kids but it was not clean and there was no way to test the water for ph, etc. 3 TV’s was entertaining & help pass some idle time. We had asked where to find a filter for the Keurig and he dropped off a cleaning kit & new filter. Alternatively: the lock on the door to enter is quite difficult to master .. esp. w arthritic or fat fingers. A push button security code would have saved us some time. Lastly: we wished there were some hooks behind the doors and/or extra towel racks in the bathrooms. Very little space for luggage, most of us used the floor which was iffy for a couple of us: fold up luggage racks would have helped.
There was plenty of seating for meals. The outdoor areas were well maintained.
