1 Star – Misleading Listing, Disappointing Stay
At first glance, this VRBO looked like a cozy little home perfect for our spring break ski trip. Reality hit as soon as we pulled into the run-down neighborhood—definitely not the "nice, quiet family area" the listing promised. The house may be one of the better ones on the block, but that's not saying much. It felt like lipstick on a pig—fresh paint trying to hide years of neglect.Inside, things didn’t improve. The front door was barely hanging on, walls were stained, paint peeling, and the hot tub? Filthy and unusable for most of the week. It took days to clear up, and the property manager’s solution was essentially, “just use it anyway.” Gross.Other highlights:Peacock crap all over the deck and yard (yes, really).A hobby farm next door filling the air with barnyard smells and nonstop animal noise.Walls thin enough to hear the neighbors yelling at their kids all hours of the day.No hangers, no dressers, and nowhere to store clothes—be ready to live out of your suitcase.Beds were rock-hard and wobbly.Ants infested the bedrooms and kitchen.This place is all about making it look cute in photos, but don’t be fooled. We made the best of our time away from the house, but the stay itself was a huge disappointment. Avoid this rental if you’re expecting comfort, quiet, or cleanliness.
