This was our third stay. Great place to gather family. Wonderful location. Played on rocky swimmable beach and yard. Had dinner with sunsets. Biked and kayaked. Cozy and charming inside.
Loved the mushroom - third time visiting. Comfortable and easy for the family. Swimming, walking, sunsets, and lots of games around the table. Thank you!
The location is stunning and cannot be beat for the price. Very private, beautiful private beach, gorgeous sunsets and moonlit nights over the bay. My family had a wonderful time.

My family and I have stayed at this property two times now. The location is absolutely stunning, a number of beds works for us, and the family gatherings in the backyard are the best!

Thanks so much for visiting the cottage! Glad it was able to provide a peaceful respite for you and your family.
Thanks again!
We love staying at the Mushroom! It is one of the few places in the area to stay that is very private and quiet. It's so relaxing to sit on the porch and watch the boats go by, gather with family, or just read. The sunsets are beautiful and the beach access is a bonus. The house has plenty of room for family and friends. The kitchen has everything you may need to prepare meals. We will return soon!
Definitely worth the long drive to the end of the point and be able to sit right at the water, watch the ships go by from a shaded lawn. Kayak or ride your bike to town. Great for family - something for everyone. Lots of toys, pots and pans, dishes, chairs and spaces to play in.
This location is dreamy. It was the perfect gathering place for 3 generations of family to celebrate my son’s graduation from RWU. Everything we needed was there with a stunning backdrop. Grandparents loved watching the passing ships from the covered deck, everyone else had room to spread out, play games, cook, and come together. Hosts are wonderfully responsive. What a privilege to enjoy this space it with my family!!
We were surprised that the toilets were rusted and many of the furniture was outdated rniture were o
The outside view was very nice. My sister said that her bed (1st) bedroom was so hard, she was unable to sleep. But all in all, the property was nice and and livable.

Oni - Thanks for staying with us! The two mattresses have been replaced as you suggested. Thanks again for your feedback.
The family loved the spot and the home was comfortable, private and stocked with everything needed. Unfortunately when i left after double checking the house I forgot to check the fridge for items I couldn’t pack up earlier. Hope this didn’t cause an inconvenience.

Victoria and Family - Thanks for staying bayside and enjoying the privacy. No issues on the 'Fridge! We hope to see you again.
Easy. Everything you need is there including a great yard and little beach and seashore atmosphere. We fit 3 generations - 9 of us and a baby easily and comfortably for a week then had days by ourselves. Works for both.
This house is well cared for and loved and it shows in all the many extras like a clothesline for beach towels, outdoor shower, games for all ages for rainy days and in all Suzanne's responses to our needs.
My family loved the neighborhood and all the wildlife that reside in Poppasquash Rd. The beach was just steps away from the house which we enjoyed so much. Tip: it’s very Shelly and rocky so water shoes are a must. The home is rustic, and without a/c in the summer time it felt very damp and the fridge struggled to keep our food cold. The freezer did not keep anything frozen. But the owner brought us a cooler with ice and if it weren’t a holiday would have probably been able to do more than that. We had a wonderful time and would stay again.
Great location. Very clean. All amenities provided. Plenty of room. Communication was fast and always friendly. Nothing to worry about at this property. Had a great experience.

Wheelchair Accessible - NOT
We were excited to experience our first family vacation the primary reason for selecting The Mushroom was because it included that it was wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately, from the car to the door required wheelchairing my elderly mother over gravel and mud and then onto a slippery, narrow ramp to the door. Unfortunately, only the kitchen, dining and living rooms were wheelchair accessible - the hallway to the bedrooms and bathrooms were not. Further, the wheelchair didn't fit into the bathrooms. It also required picking up the wheelchair to get out to the patio. After a difficult evening, my mother asked to go home. Because of this, her grandchildren and great grandchildren decided not to join us. All this written, my brother, husband and I enjoyed ourselves and believe we left the home cleaner than it was when we arrived. I will admit to feeling crushed that the first family vacation was a bust and will not be planning another.
This cottage is fabulous!! The view is picture perfect. The beach being in your backyard was great, my nephew enjoyed hours looking for treasure to ship home to Oregon. Just a perfect place for what we needed in a sad time in our lives. A little piece of heaven
