House, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Bathrooms, (Sleeps 6-8)
Welcome to our house on Lake Vermilion! This has been a perfect getaway for our family for long quiet weekends, large family gatherings, fishing trips, and entertaining friends over the years. We love to go up north to fish, relax, go on walks with the dogs, snowmobile, swim, or sit around the campfire. We live a busy life in the cities and love to get up north once in a while to get away. We hope you enjoy your vacation up north!
Bart purchased this House in 2003
Why Bart chose Tower
We chose Lake Vermilion because its a beautiful lake with that boundary waters feel. Excellent fishing, glacial rock everywhere, islands, not much boat traffic. Next to this wilderness type setting, there are restaurants, sports bars, shops, wildlife museums--plenty to do besides just being on the lake.
What makes this House unique
The area by this house has wildlife everywhere--birds, deer, loons, beavers, and an occasional eagle. The house is on a private road as well which is great for walks!

Very nice house in a beautiful area - needs a little cleaning.
The house was very nice and comfortable & the area was beautiful. The owner was very nice & prompt in his communications with us. There were some cleaning issues that I feel should have be taken care of before we arrived. Unsure if this is on the shoulders of the previous renters or the person who cleans between renters. Over all I would recommend this place as long as no one in the rental party has a mobility handicap due to the multiple levels and steps in the home (which is not mentioned anywhere in the listing).
The house was beautiful and the location on the lake was great. Bart was great with his communication and with any issue that arose. We would definitely stay there again!
The family and I really enjoyed our stay at this Tower lake cabin. We found the property to be very quiet and peaceful. There are neighbors, but we never saw them. As described in the listing, the property is landscaped with rocks, bushes and trees to build a natural fence. You do not realize that you are not the only house on the block. Also as described, the house is on the pike river inlet of Pikes bay. This really adds to the peacefulness. There is not a lot of boat traffic, and the inlet keeps for very calm waters for kayaking. It is the perfect balance; you have all the modern conveniences and comforts but still has that rustic experience. The owner Bart makes you feel so welcomed and is so accommodating, he is so great to deal with.
Less than expected
Area was beautiful. Getting boat in and out of bay was more trouble than it needed to be. All they would have need to do was raise the booies and mark some of the other rocks. House was nice overall but basement smelled musty we turned on the dehumidifier and that helped but should have been turned on before our arrival. Dishes pots and pans and silverware were not clean and of poor quality. Owner was very nice to set things up with. Loved the area but would not return to this location . All that being said we still had a good time with the grandkids
Very nice, communication was clear, organized, and timely.
Enjoyed our stay very much. It was a very cold weekend but we were cozy . Bart was very communicative, organized, had clear instructions, contacted us with all the needed information and was very friendly. I’d stay there again. The place easily accommodated 6 .
Thanks very much Theresa and we hope to have you as guests again in the future!
The house was perfect for our needs.
Good experience. Bart was great in providing information beforehand and accessible to all questions. He always responded in a timely manner. We would recommend it and would use it again. The house did not have wi-fi which turned out to be great. We all unplugged for three days and had real quality family time.
