Perfect House for Family
We stayed here as it was near family in Port Henry and Vergennes VT. The beds are very comfortable and the house had every thing you need. Michelle was amazing to work with and very prompt on any questions we had. We look forward to renting this property again.

A really nice experience
My family stayed for only two nights because we were out of state guests for a wedding and we didn’t want to be spread out among several hotel rooms. There was plenty of room for everyone, and everyone was comfortable. It was a nice bonus to have a pool table, air hockey table, ping-pong table and shelves of games to help entertain when it rained. We enjoyed walking around the grounds and the beautiful lake. Everyone talked about coming back to spend a week with family to fully enjoy the property and the area.

In 1996 my dad Charlie purchased what was then a small one-story cottage on Lake Champlain that sat on a “killer” piece of land. When Charlie remarried, he and his wife Mary decided to renovate the little cottage. Charlie was an engineer and he had a vision for what the property could become. Over time he converted the little cottage into the grand Lodge it is today. Everything he did was top quality. Charlie and Mary loved to entertain and the Lodge was filled with family and friends relaxing and enjoying the Lodge and its surroundings. When Charlie passed away in 2014 the Lodge sat empty for many years. In 2022 I took over ownership of the Lodge with the hope and desire to restore it back to its former glory. It has been a labor of love and way to honor the memory of my dad. My hope is that future generations of friends and family will enjoy the Lodge as much as Charlie, Mary and their friends and family did.

Why they chose this property

Have you ever walked into a place and felt an instant sense of peace and relaxation? Well, that’s exactly what it feels like to enter the Lodge on Lake Champlain. It has that iconic old Adirondack lodge feel to it. Nicely furnished, but still comfy. Spacious enough to spread out, but still cozy. And then you look out the floor to ceiling windows that are in every room and you realize just what an amazing place it is. The view of the lake with the Green Mountains of Vermont in the distance is truly breath taking. The land slopes down to the lake where you see herons fishing and ducks swimming by. If you are a nature lover you will find the place to be magical. Of course, no one can overlook the modern amenities the lodge offers, such as multiple flat screen televisions, wifi, air-conditioning, a game room and a bar area all fully equipped for a fun vacation where everyone can spread out and do their own thing. The outside of the lodge is as great as the inside. With its covered porch, fire pit, and large yard, it truly is a one-of-a-kind property.

What makes this property unique

There are many unique benefits of the Lodge on Lake Champlain. It is a place like no other, where you can bring multiple friends and family for a relaxing and fun filled vacation. Its large enough for everyone to spread out and do what they enjoy most. The privacy is amazing. You feel like you are on your own private compound, far from everything. It has 140 feet of waterfront and enjoys some of the best views on Lake Champlain. Fish, have fun, site see or just explore. Its proximity to Fort Saint Frederic and the Crown Point Lighthouse and fishing pier makes it an ideal place to take in the history of the area. When you stand there and look out at the bridge, the lake and the mountains beyond, it gives you a greater appreciation of the beauty and enormity of our beautiful country and how lucky we are to live here.
