Much needed relaxation
Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven. We enjoyed fishing, crabbing, shrimping, bird watching, and just relaxing on the dock. The sunsets were magnificent! We felt closer to nature and more relaxed than we have in a long time. Highly recommend for a no frills, all relaxing weekend getaway.

Don't Hesitate
Can't say enough good things about this place. The moment my boyfriend and I arrived we didn't want to leave, ready to retire and live out the remainder of our days on this little slice of heaven! Was amazing to have our dog there with us, he learned to jump off the dock and went kayaking with us most mornings. Sunset view is some of the best I've ever experienced, which is rare on the east coast! We stayed over 4th of July weekend which was a hot one. Tracie foresaw the high temps and purchased another AC unit for us before we got there which was clutch! Without that we might have been uncomfortable but we were able to keep the cabin at a comfortable temp all 4 days we were there and with the property as perfect as it is we were hardly inside except for sleeping anyway. You wont regret booking this place. I'll be coming up with reasons to return in no time!

Escape to Paradise!
My husband and I took our boat and stayed 4 days. We put our boat in at Live Oak Landing to reach the ocean, which was easy. We caught dinner right on the dock most nights- crabs and fish. The house is beautifully done, comfortable with everything you may need. It was a true escape- quiet except for the many colorful birds. We hope to go back as soon as we can.

Really enjoyed our stay
It was the most relaxing and peaceful time we have had in a long time. There are beautiful marsh views. The tidal creek and marsh are full with wildlife. We enjoyed the stars. House was equipped with everything we needed. Communications with owner were stellar. Tracie was prompt and personable. We really enjoyed our stay. Note: Plan a sunset at nearby Pine Landing.

Rested and refueled
Typically when my husband and I vacation in March we head for a beach. We saw this listing and thought why not try something a little different? And boy are we soooooo glad we did! This vacation was exactly what we needed. If you love serenity, nature, paddling through picture perfect marshes, fishing, birdwatching, reading, resting, truly relaxing and enjoying all that the beautiful outdoors of South Carolina and the ACE Basin have to offer, then this is the place for you. The home has everything you might need and nothing that you don't. It's cozy and charming with lots of thoughtful touches. The views are SPECTACULAR! And Tracie could not be nicer or more helpful...she shared wonderful information about the property and the surrounding area. If you must get to the beach, Edisto Beach is only a short 15 minutes or so away. And even though the island is more rural than other barrier islands in the area, there is plenty to explore and enjoy. We loved this property and can't wait to go back!

Amazing retreat
We're local to the area and just needed a couple of days to check out from reality! We could not have found a more perfect location or host. We literally have nothing negative to say at all. This space was quiet, clean, private, and beautiful. Truly a special place.

Absolute paradise. Total privacy, nice covered porch to sit out & bird watch, even went out in the marsh on the kayaks provided. Not far from the beach about 13 miles. A definite will do again.

Beautiful property
Everything was better than advertised. Beautiful cottage on the marsh with a dock to fish or kayak or just hang out and watch the wildlife. Plenty of room for my fur baby to run around too. I was sad to leave when my stay was up. I look forward to staying again!

A Magical place.
Nature abounds. Eagles, raccoons, deer, wild turkey, hummingbirds and more. Stars at night are amazing. Truly a dark sky space. Comfortable bed. Don't plan on sleeping in. Get up with the morning light, and don't miss a minute of the day.

A special thanks to Tracie and her family for sharing their property for rent because it really is a special place. The place has everything you need to relax, unwind and enjoy the surroundings. Our dog loved exploring and we loved exploring on kayak and birdwatching. We left the place talking about when we would like to come back. Tracie was very accommodating and responsive and helpful 💚

A Small House With Huge Views!
It's rare to find a getaway vacation rental with a million-dollar view. Two days of perfect sunrises and sunsets over the ACE Basin. The sun set just over the dock to the creek with a majestic dusk sky before settling into the marsh. The Creek House on Edisto Island, SC offered us a small house with huge views. The ACE Basin is one of the largest undeveloped estuaries along the Atlantic Coast. With such a great location comes, seasonal birds, wildlife, and the serenity one only finds in nature. A great place to get grounded. We visited at one of the coldest weekends of the year. Perfect for a large firepit, a cozy blanket and crisp air. Down South, this means no bugs. During the days, the sun warmed the property and brough the songbirds out to feed off the birdfeeders on the property. We are planning a trip back in peak spring to see more of what this special property has to offer.

Perfect Edisto Creek house
This is one of those trips we will never forget! Perfectly quaint and tucked away off the beaten path, this tiny cottage was perfect! The property has incredible marsh views with large porches and windows everywhere. The dock and creek access is great and provides amazing views to take in. Kayaks and fishing poles at the dock made for some extra fun. The sitting area at the cypress point were great, as was the huge yard area. We will absolutely be back and recommend anyone looking to escape to Edisto Island to check out this piece of paradise!

Dreamy getaway on the marsh
This place was everything we could've hoped for - exactly the type of place we'd love to call home someday. From the drive in through moss-draped live oaks all the way to the edge of the dock, this whole weekend was amazing. We only needed to bring food, clothes and the dog - everything else was included. We were able to go fishing, kayaking, have a fire, grill out, swing in the hammock, and read on the porch - without having to bring a single thing! The only thing we ended up leaving for was a long walk on the beach and a stop at King's Market for fun. Tracie was so friendly and helpful when we needed anything. The house is small which made it easy to find what we needed. We'd absolutely recommend staying here for anyone thinking about it!

I was born in Texas, grew up in Colorado and moved to the Lowcountry in 2001 with my husband Paul. Paul was born in Asheville, NC and we met at Auburn University. His family introduced me to The Lowcountry in 1998. We have 2 daughters, 2 dogs, and have been searching for The Creek House for almost 20 years. We finally found our “Much Sneed’ed Vacation” in June 2020.

After I moved to Auburn and met my awesome husband, I always missed the Fall in Colorado. I was searching for a place that could give me the “Fall Vibe” similar to what it was like in Pagosa Springs, CO. When we finally moved here after 9/11 I started to watch the marsh change just like the “quakies” in the Rocky Mountains. Instead of looking up towards the San Juan mtns to see the vibrant colors change, I started looking down at the marsh and realized it was exactly the same!! Instead of fly fishing for rainbow trout I fell in love with fly fishing for redfish. We love the outdoors, birding, spending time on the dock and around the campfire. The Creek House has a very special vibe to it that guests will feel. There is an old soul to this magical piece of land. Paul and I are so excited to share it with others.
