We were so sad to leave!
My family had the most amazing stay at Erica's house. The home itself is so beautiful and comfortable and the garden is spectacular. The trains did not bother us at all. In fact, it was our son's favorite part! The location of the house is great too. Super close to downtown, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Highly recommend booking your stay here. We wanted to stay forever!

Tucson Vacation
Erica's house is charming and beautiful once you walk through the front door. She has done an outstanding job updating a historical home with high end details and amenities. Erica is super friendly and very helpful. We had an issue with our rental car being too small riding with luggage on our lap, and she was able to let us stop by early to drop of the luggage prior to check-in. My family all enjoyed her house and especially her backyard cacti. This was most enjoyable being right in the middle of downtown. We would have given this place 5 stars if we only were evaluating the things the owner has control over. In order to give an honest review, I must mention the trains. Unfortunately, the house is literally one/two blocks from a train track. The trains run all night long. One night there were about 15 that came through. That was the worst, but the other nights were about three to five trains. They are loud even using the provided ear plugs. On a side note, the location is inner city. If you are not used to this, you may not be comfortable. If you are used to country or suburban living, then this location may not be for you. But it was handy to be in the center of everything for shorter drives in any direction we went.

Nobody mentioned the blaring train horns every 5 minutes all day and night!!
The property was nice. It's a little crowded with the décor but it looks nice. The manager was amazing but we had to call it quits early because the train horns were unbearable. Neither my wife nor I slept more than about an hour each. The property manager refunded 50% of our 5 night stay but had we known about the trains, we never would have booked. With this being said, it ended up costing us $1400 for 1 miserable night, which is pretty frustrating.

An entrepreneur by nature, I have enjoyed the freedom and flexibility that a self-directed path can provide. I have loved to travel and annually embark upon both a beach vacation and an exotic destination in a faraway continent - you will find exotic mementos from my travels adorn El Milagro and inspire the eclectic sampling of the world within. Growing up in Tucson and feeling a connection to this style of architecture/ property, I wanted to name my special Casa to honor my connection to the heritage of the house, hence the name El Milagro - which means The Miracle of the Neighborhood - a miracle to own a home, a miracle this place has stood 180 years - a miracle of light and laughter within---. While home in Tucson, I love to landscape, you will see me working on my properties tending to the mesquite trees, Peruvian apple cactus a native willow or assisting guests at El Milagro and other homes. I have always enjoyed cooking - entertaining friends and family and hosting many social events and look forward to hosting you during your stay in Tucson!
