This was our secomd visit to the rustic ranch. Everything was fantastic. Rose and Jack are great hosts and do a fantastic job providing the little things that help make our stay very relaxing
We really enjoyed our stay. The space was nice. The kids liked the animals. It was very cold so we didnt use the pool but im sure we will stay here again when its warmer. The hosts were very responsive and friendly
Great quiet and peaceful property in a rural setting. Jack and Rose were wonderful hosts and made sure we had everything we needed.
The property is beautiful with lots of blooming plants and shade trees. Great place to relax and enjoy nature away from city life.
Our stay was enjoyable. Rose and Jack were wonderful hosts. They had everything we needed. I loved the tour of their home and to learn the history. My grandkids loved coming to swim in the pool. I would definitely recommend staying at the ranch.
We found ourselves in the heart of the farm, and we were amazed by how peaceful and quiet it was. There was so much space for the kids to run around and play. Our best companions during the trip were three friendly dogs who stayed by our side. The farm radiates a special harmony, where the connection between humans and nature feels real and profound. All the animals were calm and friendly, and it was evident how much love and care the owners put into them. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming and attentive, always ready to help and answer any questions. We were lucky to witness how they trained a horse, and the most memorable moment was when our daughter got the chance to ride one!We left this wonderful farm with warm memories and the heartfelt kindness of its owners. We will definitely be back!

Who knew such a gem of a place could be tucked away in Rusk ,TX ?!
This place is simply amazing, I wouldnt change one thing about this little slice of heaven!
It has everything you need from the bunkhouse, the cook house, to the pool!
The peaceful solitude of this place is so worth it!
Rose & Jack are awesome, kind host !
I definitely will be going back!
Jack and Rose were amazing hosts. The property was just as described and our girls loved seeing the pigs, horses, cows, and chickens. Overall, it was a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a nice quiet weekend.
Jack and Rose were the sweetest hosts! The bunk house was perfect for 3 adults and 2 infants. We had everything we needed for our stay plus more than we could have asked for. The pool was a nice place to hang out during the day and the porches that overlook the farm animals were awesome! We had a great time!
If you are looking for a true country get-away...this place can not be beat. Rose the hostess makes sure you have everything available you could think of while the accommodations themselves give you a true ranch style feel. With a huge pool to float around and relax in this is a great place to just unplug, get away, and relax. Rose even made sure we had fresh eggs available which made for a great breakfast to start each day. Rose goes out of her way to make everyone feels at home.
I needed a nice relaxing few days off work. This was the perfect place! It was so quiet and relaxing. I did have to work one day. I was concerned, BUT should not have been, because the wifi worked great! The hosts are so wonderful! Super nice and welcoming. Provided anything and everything we could possibly need. We did not use the pool but it sure looked nice and relaxing. The doggies, piggies, kitties, and horses made it so much more relaxing. Thank you Jack and Rose for allowing us to stay.
My husband, son and I were in desperate need of a quiet little getaway for the weekend and this bunkhouse fit the bill perfectly. Jack and Rose were fantastic hosts and ensured that we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Rose allowed us to help her feed the animals in the morning and my son absolutely loved it. The pool was a highlight for us and truthfully we spent most of our waking ours lazing about the pool. The property is absolutely beautiful and peaceful and exactly what we needed. We definitely plan on coming back for another visit as soon as we can.
My daughter and I really enjoyed our little getaway here. This is a really pretty property. We enjoyed seeing the animals and how quiet it was. We had a really nice time just hanging out in the pool. The host was very nice and attentive. The bunkhouse was clean. We didn’t use the cookhouse but peeked inside and it was very nice. It would have been a lot of fun if you wanted to BBQ and swim. The property is in the country but not too far from Jacksonville or Nacogdoches. It is a nicw little place to have a relaxing weekend.
What a great place and the host is amazing. Only draw back is the bunkhouse/sleeping quarters is separate for the kitchen. Which they do tell you about. But, they are so helpful. We got lots of rain and Rose made sure we had an umbrella and anything to make us more comfortable. I will stay again when in the area. Thank you Rose.
We spent a few days with Jack and Rose over Spring Break. If your an animal lover this place is for you. We interacted with the chickens, pigs, cows, horses, cats and dogs. We collected and ate fresh eggs every morning. Rose will customize your experience to your comfort level with the animals. The kitchen was well equipped with all the utensils and appliances you could possibly need including a propane and a charcoal grill. There were also plenty of spices, condiments, bottle water and other items available. There is a lot to do in the area including a drive thru Safari and some Historic and nature sites. We didn't use the pool because it was a little chilly during our stay, but during the summer it should be very welcoming after a day exploring the area. If you must work during your stay, both cell and internet service were excellent. The hosts were very accommodating and we could tell they were willing to do whatever they could to make our stay enjoyable. They will interact with you or give you your privacy, just let them know what you want.
Our family chose this property for a quiet getaway over Memorial Day Weekend. Rose and Jack were exceptional hosts! Communication was outstanding from booking through checkout, plus there were detailed information sheets in both the bunkhouse and pool/cook house. Both areas were well-appointed and we did not want for anything. If you forget something while packing, there's a good chance that Rose already has it there for you! If not, Rusk is only a few minutes up the road. Although there were plenty of intriguing activities to do in the area, we spent pretty much the entire time in the pool or on a covered porch or patio. All of the trees and plants were gorgeous! My husband especially liked using the Blackstone (one of three grilling options) for all of our meals. The bunkhouse had a warm, cozy glow to it for reading a book or watching a movie (a wonderful selection of both were available to choose from), and the beds were very comfortable. I was able to walk around the property with Rose one morning to feed the potbellied pigs, chickens (and collect eggs), horses and cows. That was a highlight, for sure! We also really enjoyed interacting with their friendly pets. I wish we could have stayed longer! We left there feeling relaxed and refreshed. We will definitely be going back!!
