Whimsical Room & Private Bathroom in Historic Inn

Enjoy a private room & bathroom with tub in the historic Chester Inn, circa 1780. This charming property is conveniently located on Main St in walking distance to restaurants, shops & galleries.

Public hiking/snowshoeing trails can be entered right through the backyard & Okemo mountain is just a short drive away!

Although the building is bed & breakfast style we do not provide breakfast.

*The fireplace is currently not working. Estimated fix date is Feb 16th*

Room #2 is located on the first floor and is equipped with a queen bed & private bathroom. This quaint room has a gas fireplace (currently not working), TV, microwave, coffee maker, mugs/wine glasses & bathroom essentials. Shared spaces are also available for relaxing, reading, getting your coffee fix or enjoying board games. There is also a front porch available for your leisure.

The owners have done a good job of making the property special. Unfortunately, the first floor rooms are next to the house's front door, which was extremely noisy as it is the only way to access the house. If you stay, keep that in mind. Guests were entering and exiting between midnight and sun-up, and the noise prevented me from getting descent sleep.

Great room

We had a great stay. Everything we needed was there. Only issue was I couldn't do anything with VRBO on my cell. I signed in and found no links to the property information. AND, plenty of advertising to book another trip. Had to go to the local library to fire up my computer so that we could communicate with the host, Tyler. He was awesome and responded to all my communication promptly. We will be back.

House is OLD and needs attention. Bed was uncomfortable. Windows had plastic covering and were not shut and not locked. The tub needs to be regrouted. Water damage everywhere.

Booked this room for our anniversary. I should have backed out when the Expedia description of a private venue was different than the Vrbo description of a shared venue. Description did say that the fireplace would be repaired 2/16. It was not. Jetted tub? Big old ‘out of order’ on that too. Paid a premium rate for premium features, but they were broken.

Hi Brian! We're so sorry you didn't enjoy your stay! Expedia and VRBO are owned by the same company, so the description of the listing should have been the same information - pointing out that the building is an Inn. The fireplace is brand new, and was working during your stay. We did not receive any communication from you that you were having difficulties starting the fire place. If we had, we would have helped you with it (just an "on/off" switch on the remote). The jets in the tub were out of order, which was in the description in the listing, the bathtub is in working order. It's disappointing to know that you did not enjoy staying, but we cannot fix any issues that you had if you don't communicate them to us to get fixed.
