About this property
Amazing Sunset View- Hot Tub- Pet Friendly - 3BR
The time spent relaxing watching the sunset makes it all worth it! Our cabin has a beautiful west facing sunset view from the porch rockers and dining table, hot tub, and fire pit areas. The loft has a king bed and ensuite bathroom. The main floor has 1 queen bedroom and 1 bedroom with trundle bed (2 twins) as well as desk and printer for a dedicated workspace. All paved roads to get to the cabin, there are some hills to get required to get these views, and the kitchen is fully stocked for your cooking. Free firewood for fire pit and indoor fireplace. All this makes for a great place for you to relax and enjoy some time away from the hustle of everyday life. Pets welcome.
When you first arrive you will walk on the porch facing the sunset and then go past the grill and dining area to get to the front door. The rockers and swing are also on the porch. Once you go inside you will have the stairs to the loft/king bedroom on your left. In front of you to the right is the living room and wood burning fireplace, and the kitchen and dining table is past the living room in an open area shared by both rooms. As you walk forward to your left is a short hallway where you turn left. On the right is the bathroom and then the trundle bedroom with the work desk. Their is a small closet in the trundle bedroom. On the left is the queen bedroom that has double window looking out over the porch toward the sunset. The queen room also has a tv, dresser, and closet. At the end of the all is the washing machine and dryer. A few washer pods and fabric softener sheets are provided for doing laundry.
If you go up the stairs to king bed, there is also a full bathroom. The loft has a tv and dresser, and a small closet.

The cabin has an outdoor corn hole area, grill, dining table, swing, hot tub, rocking chairs, and fire pit.
There are TVs in the living room, and king and queen bedrooms.
The office/bedroom includes a desk, printer, and paper and high speed wifi so you can work when necessary.
Cherry Log mountain has a few entrances. We recommend you use the entrance off Lucious. You can head west on Luscious off Highway 76. That is closest to the cabin and the road is newly paved. There are a couple steep hills on the way, but they are fairly short inclines. The parking area at top of driveway for two cars is flat.
The other exits/entrances are gravel roads in areas and have corners and inclines/declines typical of most mountains, but nothing we consider stressful for driving, just requires going slower than you may like to drive :)
A map of the mountain is available in our cabin with trails and lakes/ponds and other highlights.
There are two trails in the neighborhood for hiking (neither are loop trails). You can access one trail within 25 feet of the cabin. The access point is not a public access point so there aren't cars or public accessing it from this spot. I have not walked the trails for a couple years now, so I am not sure how cleared they are. The short trail that is part of Benton Mckaye is clear but where is crosses the street, I am not sure how well it is maintained. I just walk the roads at this point.
However, most guests have chosen to just walk the roads to the lakes/ponds, chapel, covered bridge in the neighborhood.
There is parking at the cabin for two vehicles. You could park more but may require moving cars around to leave. Their are several entrances to the neighborhood. Not all roads are paved, but our cabin is accessible via all paved roads.
We do have board games as well as a DVD player. We do not have any DVDs. There is also an assortment of books for reading.
All three tv's are smart tv's or have Roku, so you can log in to use other streaming services as well.
The Chicawa Hiking Trail is also a short walk from the cabin. You can hike that to the covered bridge. It is a pretty short trail but involves hills. (trail may be overgrown, we have not had a chance to hike it this spring/summer). A map is provided in the cabin as well as copy machine to make copies. We also have a binder with other maps for nearby hiking trails, wineries, waterfalls, other things to do, etc., and of course a copy machine so you can make copies to take with you on your day trips. Most guests have said they either hike the trail behind the cabin or just walk on the roads as there isn't much traffic.
