The house was perfect for our family. The space was very comfortable and allowed us to spread out while still spending time together. We loved the ski in/out access, views and the hot tub! The property management company was very responsive any time we needed something.
We really enjoyed our stay at the property. It was refreshing that all amenity items were as stated. We would definitely stay here again.

To begin with this would be a 5-star property (but is not in the current condition) if the owner/management company want it to be. The home is a nice 3-bedroom home with a loft that has a bath and can act as a fourth. The views are beautiful and there is good access to Madison 8 lift. Unfortunately, there are problems. ALL drawers, cabinets, closets in master are filled with owner belongings thus our clothing, etc stays in suitcase or on floor. Second bedroom with large crib, suitcase holder, table, chair which take almost all the floor space. Impossible to move around and can't remove them. Closet filled with diapers, diaper genie, etc. Third similar. Great room had all baby toys, baby walker etc piled in a corner which flowed into living area...Baby gate at top of stairs to lower level where bedrooms are acts as a trip hazard and had to be taken down. Finally, as our clothes were on the floor, it was clear that the home had not been vacuumed is some time. Hair tumbleweeds in corners of bathroom, toothpaste in sinks, etc. We truly felt like the owners left in a hurry that morning and were surprised that someone was coming in for a rental stay.Again, should be a great property but decision needs to be made as to whether they really want to do so.
House was amazing, very well equipped, gorgeous views, spacious rooms. Could not ask for much more. Ski in ski out was a huge plus. Small walk and bit of a traverse but very convenient. Hope to stay again !

We could not have asked for more from our stay at this beautiful home in the heart of Big Sky. There were incredible views in all directions (especially the hot tub!), a cozy living room with a wood-burning fireplace, a fully stocked kitchen, and easy ski-in and ski-out access. We look forward to returning next year!

We are thrilled you enjoyed your experience! Thank you for the excellent review and we look forward to hosting you and your guests again in the future.
Loved the location of this home also loved the views . All bedrooms are downstairs . The only negative is no closet in master bedroom . It was locked up. So if you have coats you want to hang you have to go in to one of the other bedrooms to hang . Not a big problem . Regan was great and very responsive. We loved the jacuzzi . Ski out small walk to top of rd but then easy . Would stay here again. It would be nice to have a broom . We stayed here for 10 days and for that long sometimes you need to do a sweeping . Thats minor though. Well stocked cabin
Magical! The view is incredible! Pictures don't do it justice! The house is very clean and well stocked. Luke, the property manager, went well beyond our expectations to make sure we had everything we needed! I highly recommend renting a car if you’re staying at this location. Taxi service is very limited. But if you do decide to go that route, you have to have your taxi planned out in advance. If you have a small children or teenagers skiing without a navigational adult, skiing back to the cabin might be pretty hard. Even though it is ski in/ski out. If I could redo my week, I would drive down to Mountain Village and start on one of the main lifts. Then drive home when the day is done.Ski in ski out is definitely more for the advanced skiier! Putting that aside, I’ve stayed in many mountain towns, and this is the coolest house I’ve ever rented so far! Make sure you stop at the main grocery store off the mountain as you’re coming into town. Saves a lot of time coming all the way back there..
Our group (3 couples) travels to Big Sky every March for an adults ski getaway. 9 Silver Star is among the nicest places we have stayed. The house was very well stocked with supplies and the check in process was seamless. We have stayed in the Alpine Meadows neighborhood for the past three years and love the location. Very short hike to ski out from this home (literally across the street and up a short, groomed ramp) and we skiied back to the driveway every day. Heated garage is clutch for keeping your boots warm during the night. Communication with manager was great. Had a small problem with hot tub one afternoon and it was fixed the next morning and ready to go when we got in from slopes. Very good location overall with easy drive to Big Sky Mountain Village and down the mountain the Meadows and the restaurants below. Excellent guidebook in the house for restaurants. We already had reservations to 3 of the 5 fine dining restaurants and will try the others next year. We hope the owners will consider renting next year and we have already requested our week if so!

Great location and beautiful house, poor communication and multiple house issues
Beautiful house and wonderful location for skiing. However, upon arrival at our designated 4pm checkin the house was still being cleaned. We didn’t mind waiting around until the house keeper left at 5pm but would recommend updating the check in time accordingly. The microwave Also stopped working the first day of our trip. The maintenance people replaced the microwave the following day. Then the gas stove stopped working. The burner would keep clicking as if it were igniting but wouldn’t stop clicking when turned “off” unless we turned the burner on. We were worried gas was leaking. Even after calling on call emergency services, no one came to fix it until the following day. They turned the stove off completely so we were unable to use the stove top for the remainder of our vacation.
Overall we had a great time but were disappointed in the customer service.

Hi Jesse,
Thanks for taking time to leave a review and we are sorry you found some things below your expectations.
As you know, Regan from Alpine met you at the house at 4pm the day of your arrival as he was managing the cleaning crew closely.
We are glad Regan was there to invite you to go ahead and get settled while the cleaner was finishing up.
From time to time, with "back to back" rentals where the previous guest departs at 10am the morning of an arrival, cleaners in resort towns don't always finish by 4pm.
That said, the feedback we get from guest is they would rather have a 4pm check in time and once in a while have to wait for cleaning to be finished, than have all check-in times changed to 5pm.
We are disappointed the microwave broke the evening of your arrival. As you know, Regan responded on site within 30 minutes of your call and a replacement microwave was delivered the following day.
Unusual as it is, it was unfortunate the stove burner ignitors malfunctioned the Saturday evening before your departure. You were able to speak to our emergency line and in fact our on-call maintenance team member did respond around 9pm that evening but no one answered the door.
The next morning, though, after disconnecting the power to the stove, our team informed your party how to use the gas cooktop by lighting the burners with a lighter – and we received an “ok, thank you” response from your party. Unfortunately, we were not able to source parts locally to fix the stove on a Sunday. Again, the ignitors failed and you needed to use a lighter to light the stove the last day of your stay.
It is surprising that there were two appliance issues during your stay – this home is in wonderful condition as evidenced by the 5-star reviews both the week before and the week following your stay.
I am also sorry you found communication “poor” as stated in your review. As noted above, Regan was at the house managing the cleaning when you arrived, responded on-site within 30 minutes of your call about the microwave, you received a response call Saturday night within 10-minutes of leaving a message on our emergency line, a maintenance team member responded that night on site, Regan was again on site on Sunday morning and we reviewed multiple texts on various subjects between you and Regan during your stay.
Thanks again for your review and for noting the house is beautiful, is in a wonderful ski-in ski-out location, and that you had a great time.
Best,
Dave and the Alpine Team
