About this property

You will enjoy this well appointed apartment which is a part of a larger house in which the owners reside. They will be close enough for all your needs but far enough away to respect your privacy. You will have your own private entrance and adjacent covered parking.

The kitchen has a full sized refrigerator and stove as well as granite counters. Both a regular and a Keurig coffee pot are provided. There is also a washer and dryer which is tastefully tucked away in a small closet. The bedroom has a queen sized bed with pillow topped mattress, two bed-side tables with tiffany style lamps and a large double dresser for your clothes. A mirrored door hides a large walk-in closet for additional storage. The living room is furnished comfortably with a couch and leather chair. The electric fireplace can be set with or without heat should you want the ambiance of a fire but do not need the heat. There is a 50 inch plasma TV on which you will have access to satellite television including Showtime and Home Box Office. There is a DVD player and Wi-fi should you bring your own computer.

The owners will secure guest privileges for you which will allow you to use all the resort’s many amenities including 3 swimming pools (2 outdoor, 1 indoor with hot tub and 2 saunas), miniature golf, game room, exercise room, 3 on-site restaurants, and reasonable rates at the golf course.

This particular area of North Carolina is known as the “Land of Waterfalls”. Add this to the list of above amenities and drives to see these wonderful acts of nature can be a bonus to staying with us for a time. We’ll be glad to help you find the well and lesser known falls in this area.

Waterfall trip peace and quiet

We absolutely loved the apartment! It’s small and cozy with all the amenities of home. We especially liked the location. Even though it’s in a planned neighborhood and homes nearby, there is plenty of space,privacy and the area is very quiet. Great place for peace and quiet, relaxation after a day trip to hike up to the numerous waterfalls!!

Wonderful place

This is at least our third stay over the last few years here and just feels like home. Has everything you could need, great location and amazing screened in porch. Wonderful host. We'll be back!

Our names are Marianne Easton and Nancy Wilson. We are two retired school teachers who chose the Cashiers area because we had been vacationing in eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina for years and decided that we preferred the Carolina mountains to the other side of the Smokies. We especially liked the Sapphire Valley area and often chose the Time Shares here at Wyndom/Sapphire Valley for our summer vacations. When we were approached about purchasing a lot here, we decided to accept an offer and after many changes settled on the property we now have. After paying for the property, we started building in 2004 and moved in the house in 2005. We have been supervising the construction of this apartment for about the last three years and now it is finished! So as of this date, 2010, it is brand new! We are looking forward to many guests in the months and years to come. Give us a chance to make your day-- or week-- or month.

Why they chose this property

As was stated in the above profile, we preferred this side of the Smokies. We also wanted a safe place to stay and since the resort has its own security department and maintenance staff, Sapphire valley seemed the perfect place.

What makes this property unique

Since the weather here is delightfully cool in the spring, summer and fall and we have a 12 by 48 foot deck on which to relax, one has the choice of doing absolutely nothing or being as active as the extensive list of amenities suggest.
