Welcome to your vacation condo getaway at Copperstone Resort! This well-managed top-rated resort with helpful friendly staff and full of amenities is located in the small hamlet of Dead Man's Flats, which is only minutes away from Canmore and all the unique shopping and restaurants it offers, yet far enough away for you to enjoy its quiet relaxed atmosphere and breathtaking scenery all around to make your vacation here enjoyable and memorable any season or time of the year!
This one bedroom condo is spacious and complete with all the comforts of home, and is professionally cleaned between stays. It offers a fully stocked modern kitchen with island, separate dining area and living area with cozy fireplace and queen-sized sofa bed. The unit has its own dedicated furnace and HVAC system, so the air you breathe is not shared with other units. High-speed fiber optic Internet, satellite cable TVs and in-suite laundry are also included. The unit backs onto a beautiful courtyard which is quiet and peaceful compared to many units in Canmore that face the highway or train noise. You also have your own private patio which is just steps away from shared BBQs, a fire pit seating area, additional patio tables and an outdoor hot tub that accommodates a maximum of 10 people. Heated secure underground parking is provided along with access to the fitness and games room. Our underground parkade also has a ski tuning station, two EV charging stations and bike racks. We even provide a COMPLIMENTARY DISCOVERY PASS that you and your family can borrow while visiting Banff or Yoho National Parks! If you plan to visit Kananaskis Country, you will need to purchase a Kananaskis Conservation Pass ($15/day) online or in person at the Kananaskis Visitor Information Centres (Barrier, Elbow and Peter Lougheed) or at the Canmore Nordic Centre Day Lodge. The Kananaskis pass is assigned to your vehicle's licence plate.
Guests can access our unit from the front doors of Building #2 along 2nd avenue, then follow the hallway to the end, exit into the courtyard and enter Building #4 on the left with the entry code provided. Building #4 can also be directly accessed via the underground parkade with the same entry code.
One vehicle per reservation is allowed to park for free in the underground parkade. Additional parking is available outside in specified areas throughout Dead Man's Flats if you have an additional vehicle or your vehicle is higher than the 7 foot clearance required for the underground parkade. Second or third vehicles will be required to pay $15/day for parking underground using a parking app. Parking is also allowed for a maximum of 15 minutes along 2nd Avenue in front of the main resort building.

This was the perfect place to stay to check out Banff national park. Just outside of Canmore so it wasn’t too busy. I highly recommend staying at Eric and Nancy’s condo. They took very good care of us and had excellent communication making sure we had the best experience possible.
Very clean, quiet and comfortable place to stay. Parking, though available, was a tight squeeze for the rental vehicle we had (Vehicle was changed up by the rental company last minute to a full size pick up). Location was perfect for quietness yet easy access to expressway to Canmore and the national parks.

This was such a clean, comfortable stay, everything we hoped for and the walk out right next to the fire pit, hot tub and bbq area was a added bonus, will definitely visit again:)
Unit was very clean. Had everything we needed. Hosts were responsive and thoughtful in providing amenities like Discovery Pass and umbrella. 10-15 minutes to restaurants in Canmore.
Very nice property. Clean, quiet, with a modern kitchen, and only a few minutes from Canmore. The underground parking was a nice perk too. The owner communicated with us regularly throughout the process and was very good to deal with. Highly recommended.
Second time that I stayed here. The hosts, condo and service were great once again, especially on such short notice. The location and information on hand is ideal for all kinds of outdoor activities, even for a relatively short trip to Calgary. Hope to stay here once again.

A great little place for a quiet weekend (or longer) getaway. A short drive to Canmore but worth it for us as we don’t do the night life.
It was very clean and well maintained. It has a fully stocked kitchen, in suite laundry, fire place, and cable TV. Underground parking is an added bonus. The owners offer suggestions for places to see depending on your interests. The bed is comfortable.
The resort has a hot tub, fire pit, bbqs, pool table, and a small gym. The hot tub was nice and easily accessible from the patio door - it holds 10 people and they are very strict on that.
Communication with Eric, the host, was great. He was able to adjust our stay for check in a day early which we were grateful for and touched base with us throughout.

Truly a great place to rest and relax in the surrounding beauty of the Rockies. Eric and Nancy's place was and is a nice quiet place to stay for any person or couple looking for somewhere to escape the rush of life. Their place has been well looked after and the resort complex offers easy access to indoor and outdoor activities to make your stay enjoyable. Hope to stay there again in the future.
Accommodations was really good in terms of cleanliness, locality and maintaining the whole property.
Resort has amazing Hot Tub and so many other amenities to relax and enjoy.

We enjoyed our stay, we love the location in that we can bypass the busy areas of Canmore to get to Kananaskis to do the things we enjoy. Great home base for a weekend of fun in the snowy mountains. The host provided great check in info and was very responsive to any questions.

My wife and I have experience owning and managing long-term rentals in Edmonton, Alberta, and we decided to purchase a condo near the mountains as a short-term rental because we love the mountains and nature and wanted a place to stay in the area ourselves. The whole area around Copperstone Resort is beautiful and tranquil whether you are here in the summer or winter. You will never get tired of the mountain views! We also enjoy hiking and cross-country skiing and there is plenty of that and more in Banff National Park (to the west) and Kananaskis Country (to the east).
Why they chose this property
Dead Man's Flats is a small quiet Hamlet just east of Canmore, Alberta. We chose to purchase a unit here in Copperstone Resort because it is still close enough to all amenities in Canmore but a lot more quiet because most of the short-term rental units in Canmore are noisy being near the highway or railroad tracks. Our unit also faces the courtyard at our resort, so it is exceptionally quiet and peaceful. We are also conveniently located just across from the outdoor hot tub, fire pit and public BBQs in the courtyard.
