This location is conveniently located close to Cedar Point. It is within walking distance to Lake Erie and a lovely park, which is perfect for those traveling with pets. You'll also find great donuts within walking distance, making it easy to enjoy a sweet treat. The area is very quiet, offering a peaceful atmosphere, and there is plenty of parking available for vehicles.
Great home to enjoy all that the Cedar Point area has to offer. Nice park for children to play. Met several other nice vacationers in the evening there. Would certainly stay there even without the children! Recommend Surf Cottage highly.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this vacation home. It was super cute, cozy, and extremely clean! The house was well stocked with all of the essentials, and the hosts were easy to reach and quick to respond.
We loved our family getaway. The house worked great for the 6 of us and our family was able to come over for breakfast after staying closer to Cedar Point. It was a great location with charm and comfort. The hosts were incredibly professional and made everything a breeze! Hoping to come back next summer!
This cottage is super cute and convenient. Much better than a hotel. The two bedrooms and 2 baths worked out perfectly for my family. The neighborhood was quiet and easy access to what we were there for. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area again for a volleyball tournament.

Mini Vaca on Lake Erie
Pullout bed had no linens. Upstairs toilet leaked around basin. Basement accumulation rain after storm. Patio was dirty and had a lot of cob webs. Location was good for walk to Rye Park and access to other attractions.
We stayed here for a couple of nights. Location was perfect - just a block from the water and five miles from Cedar Point. Also close to Rt 2 for easy driving to Marblehead, etc. Inside, stay was comfortable and we had plenty of room. The owners have done a nice job with a remodel of an older home. On the down side, I wasn't 100% crazy about the exterior or the neighborhood - both were just a tiny bit on the worn/shabby side - but we felt safe.
We've stayed in Rye Beach area many times for sports tournament weekends. Very convenient location. Neighborhood homes are hit or miss - but in general one feels safe. Home itself could use some more comfy seating in the living area and more kitchen items but beds were comfy and having two bathrooms is nice. Playground is close by too.
This was close the cedar point sports complex(8 minutes). We were there for my daughter’s volleyball tournament. Our family of 5 were very comfortable and it’s in a good neighborhood, right next to the lake.
Cute and charming Lake House that worked well for our family of three. Great communication and prompt attention to a slight maintenance request. Our stay was very comfortable. Thank you
My Wife, Daughter, Granddaughter and I just had a wonderful time. The house accommodation’s was just perfect for us four. Everything we needed was within 30 minutes of where we were staying, which makes it even more a perfect location. The neighborhood was great too….and recommend for anyone with a small family 😊

Our Stay
Nice property. Check in was the first day we heard from the property manager. I’d suggest they look at their process (from confirming the dead atom to communications to say of arrival.
The house was very nice, easy to find. And nice it had a driveway to park in.
We stayed there for our trip to cedar point, and was so close to the park. About 10 mins.
The couch was nice and comfortable as well as the beds. It was the perfect size for us and our dog. The lakefront park was a very short distance, and you could even see cedar point from the park.
This place is super cute and very close to Lake Erie. The park in the neighborhood is less than a minute walk from the house and a great way to start and end the day. The house has been updated and well decorated. Good home for a small family or couple getaway. It’s located very close to Cedar Point and everything in Sandusky. Neighborhood is very quite and chill.
The hosts are super responsive and attentive to the needs of their guests. Overall, a great stay!

The house needed a good cleaning for spiders and mosquitoes. There was no place to sit outside and the grill was to dirty to use.
Our stay was wonderful. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. We arrived pretty late and it was simple, seamless, easy access. Off street parking was great so when it snowed we didn't get too much on the car :) The cottage was so cute. Loved the lake decor. It was my teenage daughter and I - we felt right at home. The beds were comfortable and clean. The location was perfect for us - it was only 8 minutes away from Cedar Point Sports so we were pleased with the quick commute. Easily accessible to lots with a small lake town feel. I would recommend this place to anyone.

The dirt became a joke
I scrubbed this place for an hour before my friend arrived with her family, but we couldn’t stop being confused by what we would find. Hair everywhere. Dirty floors when we would wipe a spill. Candy wrappers. A hair brush in the sofa. Filth all over the doors and no soap in the bathrooms. At least the beds were clean. We had a great time, but cleaning needs to be handled.

We are so sorry to read such a review. This house is a premier home near Lake Erie and has operated for several years. The house always receives 5-star reviews and our main focus is cleanliness and service.
We have a welcome note that we wish a reply would have come through...If you could let us know when you have arrived, so we know you got there safely, got in okay, and everything is to your satisfaction, we'd really appreciate it!!
With it over the holiday season, we understand that time may not have permitted, but rest assured we would send staff out in a second to rectify if we ever missed anything. Hope you will accept our apology and give us a chance in the future.

Neglected
The house had not been cleaned when we arrived. Trash cans all full, beds not made, clothing left behind from previous guest, outside of home in poor condition. Very much in need of Powerwashing and updating. Front porch light didn’t work, cobwebs EVERYWHERE. I was told I’d get a refund of cleaning fee, haven’t received it yet.

Run Down Rental
Upon arrival to to house the outside was unkept. The outdoor area had nowhere to sit and was dirty. The neighborhood was rough looking. We entered the house and the smell was strong. It smelled like an old cottage. Not what i expected. The walls were all dirty. There were spiders/webs everywhere. The couch was dingy and gross. The downstairs bathroom light switch stopped working. The upstairs bathroom sink has no hot water. The basement was disgusting and the guest is required to go down there to put the towels in the wash before you leave. I would never recommend this house to anyone.
Live every day to the fullest. Together with my husband, three beautiful daughters and two dogs, we make the best of every day. We spend our time adventuring, trying new things and or course, enjoying the beautiful shores of Lake Erie!
