I was a little nervous about some of the negative reviews but the place was great. Everything looks newly painted the place was extremely clean. The double pull out couches had couch covers and was fine for a pet friendly rental. We would stay here again. 3 minute drive to Gunstock mountain.

Great place to stay
There is a lot of space, we were at this house in June and had 7 adult fishermen. There were plenty of sleep spaces, good living and dining space and the kitchen had the best space, facilities, dishes, cook ware and utensils I’ve seen in the 31 years of this group’s fish trips!

The home was tidy, and the check out process was easy. I have stayed at places that left pages of clean up chores before leaving, and was glad this was not the case with this property. Also soaps, shampoo, body wash, linens and a few basic cleaning items were provided as well as tp and paper towels. The only downside was there is no ac. Rooms did have ceiling fans though.

The house was just okay. Cleaning was questionable. There were some dirty items left when it was cleaned and some seeds or rodent droppings on the coffee table in the livingroom and in sheets left in a folded pile on the couch. The livingroom furniture needs a good cleaning. We didn’t feel comfortable sitting on it without covering it first. The online descriptions seemed a little unclear. When reading beach access the assumption is the beach is right there but it’s not even within walking distance. Also the views appeared to be only from the top of the house on the deck. The home is also right on a main road with a steep driveway and not much lawn area. The home has plenty of room and is okay otherwise.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We apologize for the cleaning issues you encountered, including the sheets on the couch and the concerns in the living room; the housekeeping manager has been informed, and the homeowner is consulting a pest service to address any rodent concerns. The listing does note that the views are from the top deck, and the location is shown on the map near the main road. We appreciate your comments and hope to provide an improved experience on a future stay.
Large house with plenty of space and towels provided. Not a lot of extra amenities (washing machine soap, hairdryer, etc), but was an easy check in and out. We didn’t travel with a dog, but dog bowls were provided as a nice gesture.

Well sorted house 3 minutes from gunstock. 3 bedrooms make it easy to vacation with 3 generations.
The driveway is certainly steep and eager to form ice. I put down about 3 bags of salt to solve the issue. I recommend you do the same. AWD and winter tires highly recommended.

Good location
Gave it 4 stars because, although the inside of the house was spotless and well maintained with all needed amenities, the outside of the house was horrible. The patio was really dirty. Dead tree leaves, branches, etc. Along with beer caps and cigarette butts on the deck floor. Landscaping needs a little TLC and they never emptied the trash from the previous guests. The trash was left in the garage in 2 trash cans, not even in garbage bags. Started to smell. There was trash and old construction materials left behind the house. I sent a message, but no response. The house is in a great location, close to a lot of things to do. To bad to property itself is not well maintained.

Hi Joe, thank you for staying with us. We are glad you found the interior of the home spotless and the location great. However, we apologize for the poorly maintained exterior and the dirty patio. The homeowner has been made aware of the condition of the exterior of the property to make the necessary improvements for future guests. We hope you'll give us a second chance to host you for a truly 5-star experience!
This house is professionally setup to be a rental property and functions very well. No clutter, lots of room for our stuff, a nice big kitchen, a two car attached garage you can use, and 3 minutes from Gunstock.
But… be aware that the driveway is steep and troublesome when the snow is falling. I recommend a 4WD truck or an AWD vehicle with snow tires. My 2WD vehicles had to put on a big show almost every day to climb the driveway, and they both have studded winter tires. My in-laws with a Honda CRV AWD on all-seasons took 3 tries to get up the driveway one day.

Disappointing and unclean
The house smelled horrible; it seems to have a mold problem. Couches were dirty, and the temperature was set to 50 degrees. It took the house two hours to warm up. Limited blankets; we could only find one. We walked downstairs and discovered three unmade bunk beds and a refrigerator full of food. We wondered if people were living there. The stairs only lock from the basement side and there is a door leading to the outside, so that did not feel very secure. I would not recommend this property.
We stayed for 5 nights and were very disappointed with this property. The upstairs windows had no nets—the screens were just left aside, and it’s not the guest’s responsibility to install them. The downstairs windows were filthy, and the couches were dirty and smelled strongly of urine, making the space very unpleasant. On top of that, there was a snake in the front yard, which made us feel unsafe. The listing states that the upstairs rooms have fans for warmer days, but it doesn’t mention that the fans barely work and do little to cool the rooms. Downstairs has no cooling at all, which made it extremely uncomfortable—especially concerning since the property allows dogs. If pets are welcomed, the environment should be kept both clean and cool for their safety and comfort. To make matters worse, shortly after we checked in, someone came into the garage to take the trash without notice. This caused a serious concern for our safety and privacy, as we were never informed that anyone would be entering the property during our stay.We contacted the host the day we arrived regarding these issues but didn’t receive a response until Thursday at 3 p.m.—less than 24 hours before our checkout on Friday morning. For the price we paid, the lack of cleanliness, maintenance, comfort, communication, and respect for guest privacy was unacceptable. This property is not ready for guests in its current condition.

The house was spacious and clean, but there is no backyard and a very small front yard on a slope that was on a main rte so it was difficult with dogs outside, and no good place to walk them. I could not get into the house as the lockbox code would not work and had to call and or text 4x before i got to speak with someone. Vacasa said that only 1 car was allowed, which i said was ridiculous because it's a big driveway with a 2 car garage, they said there were parking instructions inside and another car would have to park 5 miles away..again ridiculous, but when i got inside, there were no directions. I told them and they said someone would bring over parking passes. No one came. Also the house description said beach access, don't know where this is as closest beach is 7 miles away and is open to public. The house description
also said the house was approximately a reasonable price
but their cleaning fee is high, then there's a service fee (don't know what the service was) and a very pricey "host fee" (???) so essentially double the price.

We stayed for the 1st week in August 2021 - getting in and out was a breeze! Bayside Rentals was excellent to deal with. House was spotless everything worked perfectly and had everything you need - close to everything. Gunstock around the corner was nice - Tons to do!! Weather was iffy most days and we still had a great time. Thinking of booking for same time next year!
The house is very comfortable with a lot of open space. The kitchen is equipped with anything you may need for cooking meals. We loved spending time out on the porch having our meals or just sitting and relaxing. We were there for a week and enjoyed it very much. Thank you!
For the first time in probably 20 years we were able to take a ‘summer’ family vacation! We recently purchased a boat in Alton Bay, NH so we knew we wanted to be in the area for the week of the 4th! We were late to the booking process, and when we found this house, not only did it meet all our expectations, it was in the perfect location! We wanted to book this house immediately, and then we found out we were able to bring our pups with us as well, which really made our decision so easy! We had other family members come and stay for a few nights at a time, and the fact we could all be together really made this a trip to remember!
A few things we might suggest to the owners are: If you plan to rent again during the summer months, potentially add an air conditioner; add a darker curtain in master bedroom for the slider (sun comes in bright in the morning); & maybe check the two front burners on the stove (they seem to not heat up)! Otherwise, we definitely can’t wait to hopefully rent this property again!!
Thank you!
