About this property

Get away from it all @ The Painter's Cottage

This newly renovated cottage offers scenic views from every window! The home is quaint and cozy and sits next to Windcrest's iconic farmhouse and windmill. Conveniently located in the heart of Amish Country between Orrville and Kidron and a short drive to many nearby tourist attractions. It is located on the Ohio to Erie Bike Trail.
We chose the name "Painter's Cottage" as a nod to the previous occupant who was an artist. Murals and original artwork are incorporated as part of the décor.

We visited the area for a conference. The home was just what we needed for our family of 4. So clean and tidy, picturesque. Our boys threw baseball in the side yard, we enjoyed watching the lambs out the kitchen window and felt close enough to things and got to enjoy the respite of the country. Towels were so cozy and luxe, kitchen is even better appointed than the listing photos show. We cooked several meals and had all we needed! Very hospitable hosts - would stay again!

Relaxing Stay

This cottage is located on a farm in Amish Country. We felt like we could get away from it all, but we weren't far from local activities and only about an hour from Cleveland. The cottage was very clean and the hosts were very responsive. It was perfect for viewing the eclipse with no crowds! We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if we find ourselves in the area.

Painters cottage was the perfect little place to stay for my sister and two cousins. Was the cleanest place we have ever stayed! So quite an relaxing. Host was attentive but seemed we were the only ones there. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay close to Wayne Co Fair and Amish Country.
