We love our stay here. The neighborhood is beautiful. Cleanliness and the parking situation is huge for us. This place met those expectations. Highly recommended if you're looking for a large place to stay.
The house was really nice. We were working at the water filtration plant inside the park. It was very close to work and we were able to relax after long days. Great place to stay.
The house was very nice, clean and comfortable with every amenity you need. The neighborhood is great, with many really good restaurants within walking distance. It was also a plus to be so close to the park. Henry was responsive and provided recommendations for restaurants. Highly recommend this property and would stay here again if in the area.
Hi - We requested access to the property a month in advance to make sure it would work for our guests but the property owner was not willing to accommodate a quick meeting. There are some nice features to the house and lots of space, but many of the cheap flip features now common in vrbo investment properties (for example: broken drawers, a wood feature wall with price tags still all over the wood, not great beds, etc.). The basement room off the stairs and the cellar entrance were also creepy.
The house was a great place to stay. It had everything we needed. The neighborhood was excellent. It is 3 blocks from the park and there was a Jazz concert in the park one evening. It was a short drive to all the Pittsburgh attractions. There is a coffee shop and an ice cream (and water ice) shop within 3 blocks. Would definitely use this house again on our next trip to Pittsburgh.
We stayed here for one week with family and friends. Plenty of room for everyone. Nice neighborhood and location was very convenient to other parts of the city. Communication with management was easy and they responded promptly.
Our stay was wonderful- we were here visiting our son who goes to Carnegie Mellon and this location was perfect. Took a walk to a park. Great neighborhood and very safe. We had plenty of space - patio, front porch, sunny kitchen table room, large finished basement.
Quick Pittsburgh stay in a nice house and great neighborhood
House was perfect for our family, a lot of gathering spots both outside and inside. Well maintained. Great neighborhood for enjoying parks, coffee or meals in walking distance.
We had a great stay at this beautiful Victorian Home. The location was perfect! There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and the yard was very nice and private. It worked so well with our family of 9 people.
My family and I stayed in the house to attend our son's reception in Pittsburg. We enjoyed the early walks to the cafe for latte and the pastry shop around the corner was fresh, wonderful and extremely friendly.
The house was in a convenient location to Pitt and family. There was lots of space for family of varying ages.
The only complication was figuring out how to navigate construction!
Great location for University of Pittsburgh graduation
The location and the space were great for our extended family. We were celebrating our nephew’s graduation and there were plenty of rooms/bathrooms for our family. And we were close to the restaurants he wanted to share with us. The great location does mean that the front bedrooms hear the celebratory mood on the nearby street. The available parking was a plus. The Apartment-style layout required us to be flexible in how we all gathered together. The host was very responsive.
Great house and location for our family trip to Pittsburgh for a CMU football game. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood with easy parking. There was plenty of room for our group of 10 and the house was very clean and had many amenities to make our stay enjoyable. Henry communicated several times during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed which was appreciated. Would book this property again.
The house was very clean and the check in was a breeze. We were especially pleased to be able to check in early. We had ample room for everyone. Plenty of space to spread out. The outside was very enjoyable and relaxing. We would rent again should the opportunity arise.
The pictures do not do the house justice, it’s way bigger than it appears. We were a large group and we were very comfortable and impressed with the place. Henry was great to deal with, very responsive and very helpful. I would book this listing again and again. A+
Beautiful quiet neighborhood, easy one-block walk to coffee/bakery/pub options. 15-20 minute drive to downtown. Nicely-equipped kitchen. With 3 couples staying, our only concern was that the 3rd bedroom had a twin bed and trundle, while the 4th 'bedroom' with a queen bed was actually more of a loft, with 1/2 wall and curtain. If those sleeping arrangements were switched it would've been 100% perfect for our group.
Great time great house great location but a bit challenged with communication over a fault smoke detector on third floor - no maintenance visit so we addressed the issues ourselves. Not a big deal - we would certainly stay again!
Property is in a great location. Safe with some off street parking. Would not recommend for people with mobility issues. All bedrooms upstairs. Also steps into home do not have a hand railing. It was very cold the time we stayed. Agency did send maintenance to try to get the boiler to work and provided space heaters. Great comfortable space with large TVs. Basement has pool table and darts and another large tv and sectional. Great for family with no mobility issues.
Excellent location in a beautiful neighborhood, walkable to nice shops and dining. The renovation is builder-grade that show no one is really living here as they would not put up with it, like a missing door in the master shower, no door to the master bath, and lots of creaky stuck doors and cheap drawers. But it was fine for a long weekend. There are lots of stairs and we had an infant sleeping on the top floor so there is lots of going up and down and up and down. There were also some minor maintenance issues (faulty smoke detector, a toilet that kept running, sticky gate latch) that should be addressed. Communication is prompt and mostly helpful.

Maintenance Needed
This house is HUGE but on a busy corner lot; I had no idea people liked to drag race in Highland Park, but they do! The large porch offers a great place to sit and people watch but, unfortunately, people were really unhappy about the length of the grass (seriously a foot tall) and had plenty to say to us about it which was awkward. The porch was also decorated with a defunct shop vac, fallen mailbox, and commercial sign for our visit. The shower surrounds left the floors wet after bathing and the dishwasher was tricky to shut correctly because it moved around within its surround, the refrigerator had broken shelving and needed a water filter replacement. There was an unsafe decorative item at the downstairs bar (2 shattered glass lightbulbs) and the kitchen counters/range/microwave/master shower were all not quite clean on our arrival. All in all a disappointment especially for the price. Photos of the items referenced in this review were forwarded to the maintenance company but too large for inclusion in this review; I hope this home receives the TLC it needs it could be wonderful.
