We had a great stay here. The cabin is old but very clean and charming. However, be aware that bears are common in this area. Unfortunately, we arrived at night, and while I was unlocking the door, my wife, who was holding our son by the car trunk, encountered a large black bear that was searching for food and managed to open the passenger door. My wife quickly ran inside, and we stayed in the cabin until 911 arrived. We had to wait for them before I could unload our car. It was a frightening experience, and we weren't able to BBQ after dark because of it. The cabin has a lovely fenced deck, but there are no gates, so bears can still access it easily. I recommend the owner consider adding gates to ensure guests can enjoy their stay safely, even in the evenings, and feel comfortable barbecuing at night.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in
mountain house
Pretty good overall, I guess.
We started out not able to get into the house upon a late night arrival (key code not included in emails or texts and no one answering the phones).
Great location, house was clean, porch outside was a bit rundown. Beds were ok, but not very comfortable for adults. Booked for 6 people - 6 days. They gave us 3 dishwasher soap pods, 3 pods for clothes washer, and 3 garbage bags. Dropped by management as we were leaving. We were told they only give you a starter kit. okay?
tbh 4 stars is ,a generous rating.
Location was great, house was clean and nice. I wish we had a view of the mountains. Also, the stairs down to and up from the house are pretty long so it was a lot of work to transport luggage. If someone has problems taking stairs, I wouldn't recommend this property.
It was advertised appropriately. We basically were just there to sleep & shower for 2 days. Grandkids & I went to Dollywood. Saw a bear in neighborhood on way to check in to cabin at about dusk time. Carpet needs shampooing or remove
We we're very comfortable and had everything we needed. Description of the property was accurate and the place was very clean! We would definitely stay here again!
The property was clean and well represented on Vrbo. The house is older and showing some signs of needing TLC, but overall, we were satisfied with the property. The kitchen was bare bones, but had the basic supplies - no condiments provided like the listing states. . Definitely felt like a rental property and not like staying in someone’s home. We loved the layout. The living room was comfy and the tv setup was great. The beds were comfy - pillows were a little stiff for my preference but were fine. A couple windows downstairs didn’t lock but we weren’t bothered by that. The grill was questionable working order so we cooked inside instead. We liked the property location for being outside of busy Gatlinberg and still only 20 min from the park entrance.
Gatlinburg is a little too touristy for us. Having said that we had a good time. The mountain road was challenging, but we did it without any incident. Nothing wrong with this place. We just prefer lakes and quiet. The house was nice but there were quite a few steps.
Loved that our house was up high on the mountain but tucked away in the forest. It was the perfect size. Check in was easy. We had to do some vacuuming upon arrival due to a lot of dead ants everywhere but other than that we enjoyed our stay!
This was a great place! Well equipped and Super clean! Only a 10 minute drive to downtown Gatlinburg. Coming up from Tampa Florida, I was looking for a place that was high up in the hills. Loved walking around the property feeling the cool air all around me. 👍 sorry for the late review.
What a cozy and comfortable stay! The home is nestled in the side of the mountain surrounded by a wrap-around porch and tons of trees. We were prepared for the many steps and long walk to get all of our belongings inside the home, but we were not quite prepared for the steepness of the driveway. We had to use a backer to get out of the driveway each time we left the house. Master bedroom and a guest bath are downstairs, two bedrooms and a full bath are upstairs. Two TV's in the home, excellent WiFi, and a washer and dryer in the master bath. We were so grateful for that washer and dryer on our long road trip! Full size refrigerator and a dishwasher in the kitchen, plenty of cookware, pyrex, and silverware, but no baking trays or foil. Floors were a little dusty and dead buggy, but that's expected in a Tennessee mountain home. Owners were quick to respond to requests and questions about the local area. I would absolutely stay with this owner again!
The property manager for this vacation spot was wonderful to work with. Due to a family emergency we were unable to go on vacation at the last minute. The property manager went out of her way to make sure I was taken care of and got a refund for their fees. I wish more businesses these days conducted themselves the way this one does.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The accommodations were as described and everything was very neat and clean. The house was conveniently located from both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
The three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms allowed us and our adult son and daughter plenty of private space. We definitely recommend this home and look forward to a return trip!
