Watch the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad passenger train go by from the snug front porch, enjoy Movie Night in front of the flat screen TV or circle round the backyard firepit for campfire songs, S’mores and stargazing. BBQ the days fresh catch on the big backyard deck. At the end of your busy beach day, crawl into a comfy beds and let the distant waves lull you into a rejuvenating nights sleep. Wake refreshed and ready to do it all again!

The homes open floor plan design is perfect for entertaining. The living room features comfy seating, a flat screen TV and a fireplace for those chilly Coastal nights. The kitchen has granite countertops and is perfect for whipping up a quick snack or a gourmet meal. The bathroom has a roomy shower and a washer and dryer for your convenience. There is a queen sized bed in the primary bedroom, full size bed in the guest room in the main home and a detached casita in the backyard has room for two with full size bed.

Location is everything and Seagull Cottage is located right in the heart of Downtown Rockaway Beach, steps from the local market and walking distance to restaurants, shops and museums. Just across Highway 101 and two blocks down you’ll have your toes in the sand. There is parking for two vehicles in the driveway.

Cute but had some problems

The house is definitely cute and clean and in a good location however we had some issues and a huge lack of communication that definitely could have been addressed. First the biggest problem was that there was a step to the back porch that had no nails holding it together and when I stepped on it it collapsed under me and I fell pretty hard. Thankfully I wasn’t seriously hurt just a lot of scraped skin and some bruising. I messaged management and never heard back! No asking if I was ok or telling me they would fix it. They sent someone the next day to fix it but again no message communicating this just someone showing up. The door to the bedroom off the living room does not close due to the size of the bed so absolutely no privacy for that room, which is not mentioned at all in the listing. The shower leaks really bad at the bottom of the door so if you don’t put a towel or 2 down definitely a risk of slipping in water. So again very cute cozy house in great location but definitely a few issues and huge lack of communication from management.

Close and convenient

Nice place with just about everything available. VERY close to a clean, nice market. Road noise not terrible. Can hear the ocean. The third bedroom is a detached structure in the back yard. Didn't realize that via description.

Very small house and no privacy in backyard

I arrived at 4 PM and has still not received the check in instructions so I had to call. The house is located very close to the beach which is nice. The rooms are tiny, the bathroom is tiny, the whole house is very small… The pictures do not depict that. The hot tub was nice but it was literally on the Fence-line and the fence was only 3 feet tall so the family on the other side of the fence could see everything we were doing and there was no privacy. The overall cleanliness was OK but the utensils are obviously used a lot and need to be replaced. They did say that they supply towels… But it is only towels for the bathroom, nothing for the hot tub, luckily we brought our own.
