Cherokee Village, Ozarks.  Are you ready to get away from it all and enjoy some piece and quiet? Start with this beautiful view of the hills in North central Arkansas from a 1400' deck 140' above the river bank. Looking across at the 17th tee box and 11th green on the Village's North golf course. With  rolling hills and  beautiful fall colors if you time it right... Sound like a place you'd like?

Located in Cherokee Village. A planned retirement community. One of the 1st in the nation. (1953) 15,000 acres with two 18 hole golf courses, 7 lakes, a recreation center and a swimming pool during the summer season. Our home is located on a secluded street with only 2 nearby neighbors. 

The unique E Faye Jones style Mid-century home is welcoming and like stepping back in time.   Our home has an open floor plan with a vaulted ceiling,  parquet floors, and sliding glass doors that make this home open and bright.  Walk out and have coffee on to the expansive 1400'ft² wrap-around deck. From the living room, you can take a spiral staircase downstairs to a large walk out basement with rock walls. Each bathroom has rock walls floor to ceiling also. In the master, you're treated to 4 solid rose quartz walls with walk-in shower and an antique claw foot tub to soak in. A room you might not want to leave for a while!  The 2nd bedroom with the king-size bed also has a sliding glass door to a semi private front deck. (The deck is wraparound) The 3rd bedroom with the queen-sized bed has a nautical theme with a sliding glass door to the back deck also. 

You can take a few steps down the walkway that leads you to the backyard where you'll find the 1000 ft² basement patio, a bench swing for 2, and large backyard for the kids to roam. From the patio below the deck, sliding glass doors enter the walk out basement. The basement  has TV's, bunk beds, games, laundry room with washer and dryer, and a 3rd full bathroom. Our Rock Inn is our dream home, we finally have it and look forward to sharing it with special people who appreciate, peace, quiet, and adventure. Come enjoy our home and our dream.

The home has a great porch with a very good view and is spacious and clean. Does have a classic charm to it, but very well updated with everything you may need.The kitchen is a little narrow if preparing meals as a group, but has everything you will need.

Wonderful fall weekend

Property is exactly as listed. Our family ages 3-58 all enjoyed our stay so much. There are so many outdoor living spaces to enjoy. Everything was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked, if your plans include cooking. Property owner was super friendly, helpful and attentive. My son in law was already looking at dates for next year. We had several deer visit in the back yard our first morning. Beautiful fall views. We loved our stay so much!

Quintessential Cherokee Village

This house is perfect for a Cherokee Village getaway! It’s vintage without feeling old and outdated. Cleanliness is a must with us and this house passed the test. The owners are quick to communicate. The house has everything you might need or want. Check in/check out was easy. The outdoor space is as nice and spacious as the inside. There’s a beautiful view of both the river and the golf course. We will definitely stay here again if it’s available.

Quick visit to Arkansas

My family and I had to make a quick visit to Arkansas to look at property. Unfortunatly, we could only stay one night at this house. This place is really COOL! We were not able to fully enjoy all the amenities this host offered but this property has so much! One of my favorite things is that we had to rely on our GPS to find the house. For me, that meant NO TRAFFIC! 😁 The host did everything possible to make our stay great. And he's an awesome guy to visit with! We will certainly be back!!

Quintessential Cherokee Village

We have booked this house several times and it does not disappoint. I grew up in Cherokee Village and staying in this house is like stepping back to my childhood. The owners have done a really great job of making necessary updates while also maintaining the amazing character in this home. My teenaged kids also love this house. They have a bumper pool table downstairs that never rests while we’re there. Also lots of puzzles and games. The kitchen is fully equipped. Location is quiet and safe (all of Cherokee village is safe) and close to all the local activities. The view is beautiful off the back deck. This is always the first house we look for when visiting Cherokee Village.

Quintessential Cherokee Village

You can’t go wrong with the Rock Inn Retreat! The owners have updated this property without compromising its vintage charm. I grew up in Cherokee Village and return to visit family 2-3 times per year. We always check to see if the Rock Inn Retreat is available first before booking anything else. My kids and I usually share the house with one of my siblings and their kids and this house is a crowd pleaser for adults and kids alike. It’s located in a safe area with beautiful views of the river and golf course and close to grocery stores and restaurants. The owners are lovely and quick to respond. The house itself is spacious and comfortable and is very well equipped- especially compared to other VRBO’s we’ve rented. Don’t wait. We’ve missed out on this house before. If you’re thinking about this place for your trip to Cherokee Village, go ahead and book. You won’t be disappointed!

Why they chose this property

We came to the area during Covid. Arkansas offers Beautiful places reasonable prices! Rivers, lakes, hill's and people from all over the nation here in the village!! A special place with some wonderful people. It's like living in a state park...

What makes this property unique

We are so blessed to have found a place that checks all our boxes. The property is 1.5 acers. It has very expansive view of golf course, hills, even the river if u look to you left from the deck😍. Large backyard, deck/patio and river access. Over 200 feet of river frontage (Stars in progress) Unique style house with rock, open floor plan, wooden floors and 9 sliding glass door. A home I have a hard time leaving 😪.
