Breathtaking views of the Gulf! 2 minute drive to the beach! Great fishing right out front. This nearly 1,700 sf oceanfront home has 2 bungalows that are connected by a breezeway. The front bungalow has a large living space, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and 2 bedrooms. The back bungalow has an office space with a single bed, a bedroom with a queen bed, a half bath, a laundry/shower room, and a mud room. The two homes are connected by a breezeway that makes a perfect home for a large family that either wants a private area in back or leave the doorway open for children. The exterior of the home has the best of both worlds with the gulf 60’ away in the front and a private serene backyard in the back. The dolphins are a daily site from the front porch! The back has a canal that brings in various herons and cranes for the bird lovers. In the evenings you can enjoy a fire by one of two fire pits and view the stars without any light pollution!
Please note that this home is located on Alligator Point. If this is your first time vacationing here, please do your research of the area and the Forgotten Coast. Alligator Point is in a secluded laid back area of Florida aka “Old Florida”.

Fantastic water views! Saw dolphins more than once. Nice place, feels like home. Great communication from our hosts. Walking distance to public beach and uncrowded.
There are not enough positive words to say about the stay we had! Andrea was amazing. She communicated everything we could have thought to ask. The house was immaculate. The view? Did you look at the pictures? 100% accurate!! Totally recommend!
Andrea, the owner, was very helpful on all occasions, from booking to check out. The beachside house was very clean and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The house is centrally located for easy access to hiking trails, public beaches, bird watching and cycling. The beach house on Alligator Point is definitely a rental we would consider returning to.
This house is in a good location with easy access to Bald Point and public beach accesses. The owners are FABULOUS to work with. Quick response times, very accommodating, and very friendly and professional.
Spent a week in September with the wife and dogs. House was clean and well equipped. Soft sheets and warm breezes. Wifi worked well and the beer was cold. Communication with the owners was outstanding. We're looking forward to spending time there again.
Lovely cottage home, spacious, clean and very comfortable. The owner was prompt to reply to any concerns and to also share info of possible area activity and happenings of interest. The yard and everything was well cared for. Thanks for sharing your home ❤️
We enjoyed our stay very much. My wife and are seniors, and it was ground floor living. Very hard to find on the water. The home had a couple hiccups, the owner is handle them right away. Great commutation. Would definitely stay again. JIM & Wyndi..

We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. It was very unfortunate that a major storm came through during your stay at the home. The small roof leak that you experienced is being promptly addressed. Thanks, Andrea
View is great. Seen dolphins most days. Seen large fish jump completely out of the water two different times. Mister bird went down for a fish and then a shark grab the bird. First I seen that not watching shark week. Lol. House has lots of little extras that are useful. Owners were easy to contact. People in the neighborhood are extra friendly.
Rustic and fun. Every amenity. Super functional and easy. Owners thought about everything. Beach chairs, bikes, cooler, new appliances. Breathtaking view from the front porch. Beautiful starry sky, zero light pollution.
This is a quirky old beach home w tons of character. Kitchen was a little awkward to cook in, but well stocked w pots, pans, knives, etc. Even though it is across the street from the water, it is a short drive/bike ride to a beach without rocks and pile ons. Nothing fancy, but perfect for our family and a good value. Andrea was quick to respond to any questions we had.
FIRST IMPRESSION WAS THE EXTRA LARGE PORCH, FOR OUR VIEWING PLEASURE OF THE OCEAN FRONT. THE PORCH WAS LIKED BY ALL : WIFE AND DOG. THEN ENTER A SPACIOUS OLD FLORIDA COTTAGE, EXCEPTIONLY CLEANED AND DECORATED, DOWN TO EVERY DETAILED ITEM NEEDED, TO INCLUDE A QUIET RELAXING TRIP. THE HOST WAS TOP NOTCH, AND VERY THOUGHTFUL TO DETAIL . THE STAY WAS ACCOMMODATING FROM HOST TO THE COTTAGE.
The home on Alligator Point was exactly what we needed this past week! The home was just as described! The retro beach home was extremely accommodating with all the necessities that my family & I wanted/needed. The views of the ocean, dolphins, birds and sunset from the front deck was like I was in a movie! Don’t let me forget the star gazing, shelling & fishing!! Just Wow! Andrea & Jason were amazing hosts and very responsive! I knew going in that the home would be located in “Old Florida aka the Forgotten coast”, but it was perfect for our family looking to just relax in the water & sun with gorgeous views, without the commercial hustle & bustle! We would LOVE to return and can not wait!
It’s a nice getaway from the fast pace and busy schedule of life. The beach wasn’t crowded even though it was prime spring break time and we were able to get some good sunbathing in. The water was not the clear blue of the gulf coast that we were expecting, but it was still good to play around in and there were plenty of dolphin sightings! Star gazing was amazing as there is little to no light pollution. The owners were very responsive and helpful and great to work with. Knowing that the closest Walmart was 45 minutes away, we opted to bring our food - that worked out well for us. It was a great place to stay if a laid back, relaxed beach vacation is what you’re looking for!
Kitchen is well equipped- in regards to supplies and appliances- awkward for cooking. Second bathroom is an odd configuration,. This is an old Florida block home which is part of the charm/problem.
The house was perfect for our family. Location was perfect for what we wanted. Quiet friendly neighborhood. We would go across the road to fish, take the kayaks 5 mins down the road to the state park and watch the Dolphins from the front porch, . The only issues we found with the property was the back “bungalow” did not stay cool enough for us. It helps if you shut both the doors to the breezeway. The Host was quick to respond to all of my questions. The only drawback to the location is the 35+ min drive to town for anything, but we knew this going in. Go prepared 😜

Sorry to hear you had issues with the back house staying cool enough for your liking. I do know that the temps were very high during your stay. There are 2 new window units and 3 ceiling fans that serve the 400 sf back house. We have found that keeping the doors open to the breezeway actually forces the cooler central air from the main house to the back. If I had known you were having issues, I would have suggested opening the breezeway and putting a fan there to get even more air to the back. Again sorry for the inconvenience. If you choose to stay again, please reach out to me, prior to booking 😊

Nice house
We liked the comfy house, sitting on the deck watching the dolphins everyday and seen some sharks as well as the ducks, pelicans, an seagulls. Fishing was good across from the house. If u are looking for a place to relax an unwind this is it. If u are looking for clean blue water with a beach on location or close this is not the place. Goin to Walmart is 40 mins away, gas station or convenient store store is 10 mins away. We drove up the coast to Mexico beach which is 1hr 40 mins to swim. Overall house is nice but inconvenient location.

Thank you for the nice review of the home. I’m sorry that Alligator Point and the Forgotten Coast were not an ideal location for you. I tend to assume that our guest are familiar with the area or are wanting to experience “Old Florida” for the first time. I will add something to the description of the home based on your input.
The house was just perfect!! If you’re looking for a non touristy quite place to regain your sanity and forget about everything else going on in your world, THEN THIS IS THE PLACE!! And the fact I was able to bring my ESA with me made it even better! Andrea was the perfect host and made sure I had everything I needed to enter the house smoothly and safely. The only for the 4 stars on the check in is because unfortunately the cleaning service was there when we arrived for our 3:00pm check and we did have to wait an hour and half for her to get done. But this is in NO WAY Andrea fault!!! Thank you a beautiful peaceful week! I would definitely recommend it and I would say our family would definitely be back but…. Our family has been blessed and we’re actually moving down there in our own home!

Family vacation 23
We enjoyed our first visit to Aligator Point. It is the most peaceful relaxing place. The house was perfect size and decorated beautifully, very cheerful and exactly what you would want in a beach house. The apartment in the back was nice but the A/C did not work adequately back there, it never cooled down the whole week we were there. The bedrooms were nice size but we found bugs in the one we stayed in so probably need to have an exterminator come out to spray. We loved the view from the front porch, watching the pelicans diving after the fish and seeing the dolphins was fun. The only disappointment was that you cannot access the water in front of the house. We saw in the photos that it was rocky but thought there would at least be access to the water. Overall we enjoyed our vacation and the beach 1/4 mile down the road was nice and very private, we found many beautiful shells.

Thanks for the review. I’m sorry you had a few issues during your stay. I wish you would’ve reached out to me so we could’ve remedied the problems. I tell all of our guests to please reach out to me if there are any issues during their stay. We have a network of contractors and service providers that are always accommodating to make your stay at the house as comfortable as possible. As far as beach access out front, the house is advertised as “Oceanfront”. We are about 60’ from the water and it is ideal for fishing but not swimming or wading. As you discovered, there are several beach access within a short walking or biking distance. I’m glad that overall, you were able to enjoy your vacation on Alligator Point. If you choose to vacation with us again in the future, please let me know and I’ll be happy to give you discount or a night for free. Wishing you and your family a happy and safe 4th!
