About the host
Hosted by Kara R. Rauert

My name is Kara Rauert. My sister, Melissa Girard-Lemons, purchased this vacation home and we want to share it with others. We both have experience with rental properties and this is a new venture for us in New Mexico. We, unfortunately, are not able to be here full time yet. Our loss is your gain.
Why they chose this property
We love Raton, New Mexico. It is peaceful, beautiful, and quiet. Did we mention the weather? Raton enjoys a beautiful climate. What to do in Raton, NM? It is close to local attractions, has many outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, shooting sports, hiking, kayaking, golf, and skiing. So many options to do, but our favorite part of spending time in Raton NM is enjoying our patio while cooking a meal together as a family and enjoying a cocktail or beer. The views from the house are pretty awesome!
What makes this property unique
Our house is located within the city limits of Raton NM, but it feels like you are out in the country. We are located up the Mesa. You feel like you have the place to yourself, but you also have all of the conveniences needed nearby.
