This is a fabulous house for rental if you want to spend the summer season on Campobello Island with family and friends. It is furnished with everything you will need for a relaxing stay on the island. High ceilings and very large windows. Wi-Fi. Air-conditioned. Beautiful sunsets from the deck. The tides rise/lower between 25-28 feet, 4 times a day. Mesmerizing! Enjoy both the sunny side of the island and foggy days with the lulling fog horns. Note: this house was built in 1907 and has an old-fashioned bathroom (with low water pressure shower).
The history of Campobello Island will keep you enthralled. Roosevelt Park is the only International park in the world taken care of by the U.S. and Canada. Citizens from both countries work at the park. Enjoy the world's best ice cream while watching whales play around the East Quoddy lighthouse. Enjoy a round of golf at Herring Cove Provincial Golf Course. Visit the historic island library less than a quarter of a mile away. We have a Boston qualifying marathon, Fog Fest, Library Days, a great Canada Day Parade and coordinated Pirate Days with Eastport, ME, just across the river to name a few activities. Lubec, ME is a small town, just over the bridge, with restaurants, B&Bs, hotels, shops, a library and weekly festivals.
