Enjoy your Vermont escape with a relaxed and comfortable stay in our quiet Shoreham country home. Located on 33 acres with a view of surrounding hills, pastures, and the Shoreham Pinnacle, this private home is just 15 minutes from Middlebury College and downtown Middlebury, and a short drive from downhill and nordic skiing, world class gravel road biking, hiking in the Green Mountains, and more.
You’ll have the entire home and property to yourselves, with three bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen, an office, and a cozy living room with a woodburning fireplace. The 2,400-square foot home is spacious, with plenty of room to spread out.
Enjoy a roaring fire in the living room, and curl up with a book or board game from collection. We offer Starlink internet access, the fastest available in our rural location, for streaming shows and videos or logging on for a day of remote work. (Please note that rural internet access can sometimes be spotty! Feel free to reach out if you have specific questions or concerns about internet access.)
Our master bedroom includes a queen bed, large closet and bathroom, and a deep tub for soaking (jets are not functional at this time). On the other side of the house, you’ll find another two bedrooms (both upstairs), each equipped with a double bed. These two bedrooms share a bathroom with a shower and jetted tub; a third bathroom, with a shower, is located on the ground floor. Beds throughout the house come with comfortable, high quality linens and extra blankets. Each room also includes a small sitting area with a rocking chair and views that can’t be beat.
Outside, enjoy the hammock (available during summer and fall months), a fire pit, propane grill, and views overlooking the Shoreham Pinnacle.
We will happily host families with children, and have a pack-and-play and older model high chair available for guest use. Additional children’s gear may be available upon request; feel free to reach out to your hosts with questions. That said, the space is NOT baby-proofed; please come prepared to keep a close eye on babies, toddlers, and other young children, especially near the fireplace, stairs, houseplants, and outlets. This home is smoke- and pet-free; smoking and vaping are prohibited both in the home and on the property at all times.
We love this corner of Vermont, and are excited to share Shoreham and the surrounding area with visitors. We provide a personalized guest book with local recommendations for our favorite restaurants, outings, activities, and more.

You'll have the entire house to yourselves. This home belongs to my parents, who spend part of the year in Vermont; we (Katie and Colin) live a mile down the road, so we're available on short notice if you need us, but will give you plenty of space and privacy. The garage is not available for guest parking, but there's plenty of on-site parking for several vehicles outdoors.
