Ephraim is a charming small village with the most accessible shoreline of all the Door County communities. You are within walking distance of shops, galleries and vintage homes. About Brad Russell
The Russell family, of Iowa, purchased this property in the Fall of 2012. Brad and Amy Russell are native Wisconsinites, who have adopted 12 children; and thus want Arbor Cottage to remain 'child-friendly' and enjoyed by large families... (Your pets are welcome, too :). They will continue to rent the cottage, extending it to year round rental. They have made several renovations to the home. The name was changed from Bayview Cottage to 'Arbor Cottage' to reflect the garden landscape. We welcome you to 'Arbor Cottage'!!! Note: The Russell's also have another cottage, Lille Cottage (vrbo 1060002), which is located on the border of Fish Creek and Ephraim (across from the side entrance of Peninsula State Park).

Why Brad Russell chose Ephraim
This property has a most interesting history. The original four rooms made up the first Post Office (circa 1850's) in Ephraim when Water Street was still a dirt road. The original Postmaster lived and worked from this location. When he married, the upstairs loft area was added to accommodate his growing family. Over the years, a one room cabin was attached to the building; as well as, new additions of downstairs bedrooms, bathrooms, and family room/porch. In 2016, Brad and Amy remodeled the loft area into a micro-apartment for their permanent residence to continue to oversee and improve the property for their guests.
What makes this cottage unique
The property is located in the center of the Village of Ephraim and has 100' of waterfront. It faces west for incredible sunset views over Eagle Harbor. It doesn't get any better than this!
