This traditional German farmhouse boasts four large bedrooms (three with king beds and the fourth with 4 twin beds), and three full baths plus one half bath, making this home ideal for families. Located just outside of town, the tranquil country setting and surrounding acreage provide the full farmhouse experience, complete with nearby grazing livestock. Amenities of the home include a full kitchen, king beds, washer/dryer exclusively for guest use, an outdoor fire-pit & charcoal grill, large outdoor space with plenty of free private parking, and more!

Inside the home you'll find a full kitchen and dining room, complete with everything you need to accommodate the whole family. In addition to the spacious living room, there is also a game room with a flatscreen TV, perfect for game night or football season get-togethers! The outdoor space is plentiful, with the house surrounded by open acreage, there will be plenty of peace and quiet to enjoy the outdoor fire-pit!

If you and your family are looking for a traditional Fredericksburg experience just like the good old days, but don't want to forsake modern comforts and amenities, this is the perfect place for you. Come stay at Opa's!

Due to the Hill Country location of our rentals, you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Raccoons, Squirrels, Possum, Birds (including Hawks), ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, take caution while driving at night, and supervise your children at all times while they are outdoors. In addition, all properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee pests or bugs will not be visible. This includes but is not limited to: ants, snakes, spiders, scorpions, beetles/roaches/water-bugs, mice, or flies.

Perfect amount of beds. Kids loved fiahing. The house even has a door that helped us keep the three year old from going upstairs. The history of the house made it even more endearing. We would definitely recommend thia house to friends and family.

Quaint Spot for a Family Girls Trip

We stayed at Opa O's Gast Haus for a family girls trip and had a great time. We didn't need to be within walking distance to town, and this proximity was in convenient driving distance to the wineries, downtown, and even Luckenbach. My grandmother (88) was with us and loved meeting the owner and picking fresh tomatoes. We also loved the charm and history of the house. If you're looking for an experience that's a little more quaint, this is a great spot.

We had a great stay here. The house was awesome. It had vintage charm but was updated. The only downside was we had 7 people staying upstairs and there was only one shower. Other than that, we would definitely stay here again if we visited Fredericksburg again. We loved that we were only like 8 minutes from town. We felt like it was secluded and peaceful. We also enjoyed the outside area as well.
