We had a great stay at this cabin! Plenty of space for a big family and well-appointed. Just a short drive to town with easy check-in and check-out. Will definitely stay again!
The owner of this home was very nice and answered any questions immediately. He was flexible when we had a change in our dates of booking, which is a rarity that we appreciated. The location is convenient to Boone but not picturesque. There’s plenty of parking, but when it snowed several inches (beautiful!), we had to leave our cars down on the road due to the driveway’s steep grade, despite having a 4WD truck. It was a challenge to then walk down the slippery driveway. The home is spotless, well equipped, has a main den space with a sectional where all 6 of us could easily hang out together. Both dining tables were wonky, so we had to get inventive to stabilize them for use. The icemaker doesn’t work. The outdoor courtyard patio is a nice bonus space. Downstairs bedrooms are large and beds were comfortable, upstairs bedrooms are smaller with very firm mattresses. Our party didn’t really like that guests must walk thru one of the upstairs bedrooms to get to the other. The stairs are a little steep but not an issue for us. Bathrooms could use updating but shower pressure is great. The heating units are a combination of floorboard strips and wall units or freestanding units - they work well after you figure them out. The wall unit in the den could be a hazard for young children as there’s an open flame behind a screen that could be accessed by curious hands from the top. This is not a high-end rental but a nice convenient place to access Boone.and mountain fun.
House was 1 block from a wedding we were going to so perfect location for us. Very easy to visit Banner Elk, Grand Father Mtn, Linville Falls, Blowing Rock, Valle Crusis and all over Boone. Host had great communication. House was very nice size to accommodate our group of 7 adults. Would definitely recommend!
Great place, well stocked and decorated, comfortable beds, nice patio space. John communicated how to find the house and how to get in well. Loved how close it was to downtown.
The listing was as represented and just what I wanted and expected. I was looking for comfort and ease for older family members. Easy egress to house, flat lot, not a difficult driveway, plenty of parking, comfortable and spacious living areas, great kitchen and sleeping spaces. Great communication from the host prior to my visit, so I didn't need anything from him during my stay.
My family was in Boone for a wedding and stayed at the house for the weekend. It was on a quiet street but in a very convenient location! There were 6 adults, 1 teenager, 1 toddler and one of our dogs! The bedrooms are all good sizes and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with all we needed to prepare meals. Will definitely stay there again!
Could not have asked for more! Owner made it easy to access, house was professionally cleaned, looked even better than the photos. So close to downtown Boone, trails, etc. Will definitely stay here again!!!
We found this property to be perfect for our 3 day planning retreat with our team. Close to restaurants and fun activities but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful.
Very adequately stocked,
Perfect stay for family in town for a baseball game. Only complaint is we couldn't find a wine bottle opener so had to use alternative methods. Found an opener the next day in a wooden cheese board server. I put it in the drawer!! House is as described and very nice.
This home, satisfied all of our needs, and gave us a cozy feeling when we gathered for meals and game playing. The driveway was rather steep, but thankfully the ice melted, and it wasn’t a problem. My family had fun!
The property looks just like the pictures. Clean, updated and accessible to a lot of places. The owner’s quick response to my inquiries and questions was outstanding. We will stay here again, definitely!
Great birthday get away at this super cute cozy cabin!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. I loved the large kitchen, comfy beds and cozy wood-burning fireplace! Location was great and easy to find.
John, the owner was so very kind, gracious and attentive. I definitely would stay here again.. hopefully in the near future😊
Thanks John!
We can’t say enough about our stay in Boone at this lovely home. The house itself is very clean, it is freshly renovated with all new furniture, kitchen was well stocked for our group to prepare and serve meals. Easy access to both Boone and Blowing Rock. We loved using the fireplace for s’mores and get cozy after our hikes. Owner was very responsive with any questions we had. Would absolutely recommend staying here!!
