This spacious 2400 sq ft, private home is situated on over an acre in a quiet area of acre parcels. It’s perfect for a quiet get away or come with the whole group. Feel like you are in the country while being only minutes from 9 beaches, restaurants, grocery stores, and outdoor adventures. 30 minutes from international airport near Liberia & Walmart & Price Club, and 10-15 minutes from local beaches in a safe and quiet community.
The space
Cook your own meals in a well stocked kitchen and outdoor BBQ or sit back and relax while you let a local private chef cook for you. All rooms are climate controlled with air conditioners and ceiling fans. Kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms have luxurious eco friendly solar heated hot water. This space is perfect for digital nomads, family gatherings, celebrations, or simply a peaceful getaway. You will enjoy the predictable daily sunshine with salty sea air and lap swimming in the pool. Do you need a healthy recharge? Children and adults alike can stay cool in the Guanacaste sunshine as children splash in the kiddie pool & adults relax at the swim up bar with a drink. You don’t have to feel too far from home with high speed WiFi on site and a smart 4K TV that can log into your Amazon Prime or Netflix accounts to stay connected. View local wildlife from your own patio including daily visits from exotic species of jungle birds and howler monkeys. Let our home be your launch pad to the Gold Coast of Costa Rica.

The landscaping is currently a work in progress and you will likely see piles of rock and dirt as we continue to beautify our home.

Please take garbage to the metal bins on Highway 911 next to the Artola Estates Entrance

For clarity to future guests, the one star deduction was related to the presence of ants and bees near the pool and bathroom. Our home is located in the Costa Rican jungle, and during the dry season the water naturally attracts insects and wildlife. We actively manage and deter them while minimizing chemical use, as environmental balance is important to us. We’re glad you enjoyed your stay overall and appreciate the review.

Just what we needed!

The house was spacious, airy and came with everything we needed for our 2 week stay. We spent half our time unwinding with the peace and quiet around the beautifully landscaped patio and oversized pool. The small town of Artola is charming and welcoming but we were also an easy drive to restaurants, beaches and activities throughout Guanacaste. The whole rental process was seamless and stress free.

Wonderful Home, Great Communication with Host & Manager and Very Family Friendly!

Looking for a place for a family of 7 isn't easy. There were some hurdles at first for check-in, but those were remedied through communication with the host/owner. Well stocked kitchen and spices made cooking so much more enjoyable. The home was stocked with plenty of towels.We didn't know about the septic issues until we received the information about the home just before check-in. And mold on the ceilings was not disclosed as well, but could be an issue for those with respiratory issues. There was some issues with the showers not draining as well. Also, we weren't informed about where to place trash until we chatted with the maintenance guy, Jose, who was very helpful and came twice a week to care for the property.One CON for booking was that the price for an additional person was not stated on the site, but when stating how many were in our party, the price of the booking increased for a child who is 2. The listing states for 11 people. Any other place I have not had to pay for a child 3 and under. Our kids loved the pool, and quite honestly, the house in person looks way better than the pictures. We were well-taken care of. The location was nice as well. We don't necessarily love being super close to beach, but this home wasn't more than 10 mins from Playa del Coco which happens to be a beach for the locals and not so much for the tourists. Close to Zip lining (Congo Trail). Great shopping close by as well. Highly recommend to any family looking for a home.

Julie and her family communicated well and worked with us through a couple of hiccups while using a different booking platform than we usually use. Thank you for bringing the mold spots in the ceiling to our attention. A recent tropical storm revealed a roof leak and caused other issues. We have the roof scheduled to be replaced and the ceiling spots to be repaired. Thank you for choosing to stay at our home. We look forward to hosting you again!
