About this property
Devi Villa - Plantation Retreat & Forest Getaway
Welcome to our estate and to our way of life. And hello to the two new additions to our home: comfortable tents for a family of four.
Palecanda Madaiah, the family patriarch, built our house with the help and loving guidance of his wife Devaki, whose name was given to the house.
Mud-packed walls and lime mortar were used during construction, they used conventional equipment and techniques. The main home, gardens, and yards span a total of 2 acres, and the construction phase lasted more than ten years.
Over the years, our family house has hosted more guests than we can count, including friends, wondering bystanders, government officials, authors, artists, athletes, and other intriguing individuals from across the world.
During your time with us, you'll get a taste of how we live. The availability of local vegetables affects our menu and meals. We serve a variety of traditional Kodava, Kerala, Tamil, and occasionally Continental cuisines.
You may wander around the estate, lunch outside, view waterfalls, go on safari, do day hikes in the Western Ghats, go birding and stargazing, and visit historically significant temples and monuments.
Our home boasts a terrific chef, pets, and welcoming staff.
We wish to see you soon and have a memorable stay with us.
