The bungalow has a beautiful kitchen, updated bathrooms, lovely living room area. Very comfortable, quiet and darkened shades that make sleeping heavenly! I look forward to these same wonderful updates on the exterior. A composite deck, re-paved driveway and smooth pathway to the bungalow would make this a 5 star stay!

Indianapolis 500 Birthday Celebration

We chose this location to stay for my husband’s birthday gift, which were tickets to the Indianapolis 500. Amy was a great host! The bungalow is very spacious and clean. We loved the details throughout. We also appreciated the kindness of our hosts. We would definitely choose to stay there again!

Back Home Again in Indiana

This stunning bungalow outside of the hustle and bustle of Indianapolis gave us a good place to stay to explore the city and have an adequate home base for the 500 and its festivities. Communication and expectations were clear as Amy worked hard to deliver us a fabulous experience. I would 100% recommend this property to others that want to enjoy the less busy side of a beautiful state that is Indiana.

Simple, quiet, easy, lovely

The check in, check out, and floorplan are simple. The area is quiet. The commute to Indianapolis for our event was easy. The overall vibe was lovely. They thought of all the little things you could need but may have forgotten. Only cons: My partner is tall and the bedroom ceiling is only around 7ft tall. I'm a light sleeper and the bed wobbles with every movement.

Our property consists of two houses (the black and white one, and this one), the barn and the pond. We tried to purchase it when our four children were home during COVID thinking we needed a project. We were heartbroken when the estate accepted another offer. As the months moved on we kept a close eye on it, waiting for the "for sale" sign to be removed. To make a very long story short, the other offer fell through and they asked us if we were still interested. Even though the kids were back doing their own thing, we were thrilled, and said YES!

As we began working on the property, we would get irritated with each other because we kept confusing the buildings and decided to name them. Because this is our first time doing a remodel, we decided to call the buildings Dick (the cottage), Jane (the black and white house), and Spot (the barn), in honor of firsts! We call it our 15 year love project, as we have many plans for it! We have put a ton of blood, sweat, and tears into Dick. We hope you enjoy him as much as we do.
