Overview
This newly constructed, warm, bright, open and airy, 1 bedroom/1 bathroom, 650 square foot guest house is sophisticatedly furnished with selected antiques, authentic oriental rugs, and original art. Large sliding glass doors open on to inviting patios with artfully landscaped and lighted gardens beyond. If you care about interior design, quality furnishings and fabrics, good light, and how a space feels, you'll love this guest house!
Location
The home is located on a quiet cul de sac in Brown’s Valley with friendly neighbors who walk their dogs and families who pull children in wagons. Mature trees keep the area cool and green.
The Home
You’ll enter the Guest House through an inviting private courtyard, which is planted with succulents and shade loving plants in large pots.
Kitchen and Living Area
The contemporary, open plan kitchen has quartz counter tops, an induction range, dishwasher, and washer dryer hidden in a large cabinet. There is plenty of prep and storage space and everything you need to prepare meals and entertain.
Skylights, 7’ tall windows, and large sliding glass doors fill the space with light. There is a spot at the bar to work or have meals that looks out on an old clock and 25 year old azalea. Situated around a Hollywood Regency faux bamboo and glass coffee table and vintage Heriz oriental rug are a pair of comfortable, wool flannel, Ralph Lauren arm chairs and extra seating for guests. The console table could be used for a desk or dining, and the TV is has Xfininty Cable and a Roku for streaming.
There are iron hooks by the door along with a stylish leather stool for putting on shoes.
Bedroom
The bedroom has plenty of closet and storage space, and a queen bed with fine linens. The large sliding door and 7’ tall windows looks out on the private garden that is artfully lit at night, further expanding the sense of space and openness. The headboard is an old Indonesia wall panel and perfectly complements the green, linen custom pillow. An vintage oriental rug in pale creams, greens and blues feels serene in this lovely bedroom.
Bathroom
The large and stylish bath has an oversized vanity with plenty of storage and counter space. The large, glass enclosed shower has a teak bench and tiled niche for your bath products. With its huge custom mirror and opening skylight, this room is flooded with light and air.
Patios & Garden
The patio, with its collection of vintage pots and succulents, has a stylish has stylish seating for morning coffee or afternoon wine. There is a dining table that seats 4 and an umbrella for shade in the afternoon. The up-lighting makes the garden magical in the evening. It’s a very special place to hang out and have dinner with friends and family.
The professionally landscaped and maintained gardens provide color and texture, enhancing the sense of calm, natural surroundings and artful touches.
