Modern Oasis- Downtown Luxury Stay, Spacious Cozy Home

Our lovely vacation home is located in Downtown in the best neighborhood. It's a very clean, safe and quiet neighborhood walking distance from the boardwalk with the view of the ocean and Norfolk Skyline with ferry access to Norfolk Downtown and Water District. Also walking distance from Virginia's first casino, The Rivers Casino. The house is recently renovated and furnished with brand new furniture with a cozy homey design and is equipped with a full kitchen with all the appliances you'd need and kitchenware. It has a spacious laundry room with brand new washer and dryer in addition to iron and board in walk in closets for all wardrobe needs. There are 3 large smart TVs at the house in the living room and bedrooms. We also have games at the house for entertainment and fun.

The AC does not work.The portable AC units do not work with casement windows.Makes for a challenging sleep.Location is nice.Being your own sharp knives, extra garbage bags, extra toilet paper, kitchen towels and washcloths, and bathroom hand towels as these are not included. I can’t stress enough how HOT it is in the upstairs rooms (only place to sleep). 88 degrees on second floor and no clue with the third as there was not a thermostat up there. We stayed here halfway for both on our trip to SC and return home. So HOT, it’s unbearable. Previous reviews say it’s ongoing since 2022.

The pictures on the Vrbo site didn't match what we actually received. The A/C didn't work on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The were no box springs on any of the beds. I felt like our host was giving us the run around. We were here from Jun 26th to July 5th. The last time I heard anything from the host was June 30th. Too much money was paid(2500) for this place to lack basic amenities in this Virginia heat

The property was in an excellent location with being close to downtown and local sites. I was disappointed with the condition of the property. After overlooking the property before bringing our belongings in, we noticed the air conditioning was not properly working upstairs. Once we turned the unit on, the unit upstairs never reached above 76 in a 2-day period. There were 2 stand-up units that was placed in two of the bedrooms upstairs. The window in the upper bedroom would never shut which defeated the purpose of having the hose hanging outside the window and the heat entering the room. There was also a broken sofa in the upstairs bedroom that I notified the host with photos. There was no response from the host.Also, there were no basic amenities provided such as paper towels or extra toilet paper. There were written instructions to place dishes in the dish washer but there was no liquid to go in the machine, hence the watered-down dish detergent was used that was provided by the host.

Casino visit

This was a great stay. The location was nice and quiet. Loved the ability to walk to several eateries and bars. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Had a great time and the owners were very responsive.

Stayed here with friends for a convention. Wonderful accommodations and a great place for us to all stay! We were close to downtown which was perfect for us. Would definitely stay here again!

Amazing stay for a group of friends

I was pleasantly surprised with this house! It was very clean and my friends & I had an amazing time! The location made me feel very safe we even walked to and from the house for food since the weather was nice. Overall great stay and great host! I definitely recommend booking this home.

Perfectly situated for our needs, lovely house for our family. House has a few minor maintenance updates needed, but nothing major and the host was very quick to respond to questions. We would totally stay again if we need a house in the area while attending another event. Very close to restaurants and things to do. Lovely, quiet historic downtown street.

Great town, great show, great place to stay!

A group of us traveled in from Pittsburgh to catch a show at the pavilion. The town is quaint and quiet but has a lot of food/drink options and is very walkable. The pavilion was very nice as well. The home was clean and had plenty of space for us to be there for the short times that we were not out enjoying the town. The hosts were easy to communicate with and were proactive in making our experience a good one. Thank you!

Norwalk stay

House was lovely! It’s just needs a few updates. Needs new pots & pans. Maybe some new mattresses. But other than that it was great. Nice neighborhood, friendly neighbors. Would stay again.
