Formerly First Street Retreat Lower, this tidy and comfortable vacation rental is located just a short walk from the warm white sands of Mexico Beach, one mile from Gulf County Veterans Memorial Park at Beacon Hill, and within 10 miles of the Cape San Blas Lighthouse and George Core Park (Lighthouse Park), making it a perfect romantic beach retreat or solo adventure.

Inside, you'll find a galley-style kitchen equipped with everything you need to prepare your morning coffee or a full-course dinner. Dine together or bust out the board games at the adjacent table and then settle back on the sofa bed in the living area and stream your favorite channels into the evening.

Outside, enjoy a covered patio with a pub-height table and chairs for alfresco dining, an outdoor shower to rinse off the salt and sand, and access to a washer/dryer to help you keep your laundry under control during your stay.

Unit was fine but...

The unit was small but big enough for two and small dog. It is a lower unit and if people are staying above you can hear every move they make. W e were lucky and it was vacant most of our stay. It had a nice back yard but it was poorly kept. MOW THE LAWN! I borrowed the neighbor's and mowed it myself. Also no instructions about unit. It woud have been nice to know how to operate A/C, or heat, what day was garbage picked up etc...

1st st is really a retreat

Close to the beach, plety of room, comfortable bed, laundry and beach cart. The only thing I would suggest is to bring your own curtains for the bedroom if you like it dark. This was our 2nd stay. We live it there.

Great location

Loved the location. Short walk to the beach. Only wish we could see the sunset from little patio, but luckily the short walk allowed us to catch the views. Perfect for two people and 1-2 kids. Foldaway couch had slight odor was the only complaint.

Location Location Location

Great location, extremely clean, great interior/exterior, less than a 2 minute walk to the beach. Amazing place, that would definitely deserve a 5-Star rating, for the exception that it had apparently just been fumigated for bugs, and the odor gave us headaches every morning. Even after leaving all the windows open for over 4 hours while we were gone to the beach.
