About Frank Biederer
Tisha and Frank grew up in Northern Illinois and were married in 1993. Tisha is a high school teacher and Frank is a self employed Executive Recruiter. We have two children, Riley age 13 and Parker Age 11. We have two golden retrievers, Zeus and Percy. Paramount Place was our home when we first moved to Georgia and we live about an hour away, in the northern suburbs of Atlanta. We moved to Georgia after we completed the construction of Paramount Place in 1997. (we designed and built the home ourselves...) It was our primary residence for about 2 years. We moved closer to Atlanta to get our children into a neighborhood where there were more kids to play with.
Frank Biederer purchased this Cabin in 1994
Why Frank Biederer chose Ellijay
Two Words..... The VIEW!
What makes this Cabin unique
First, the view is incredible. Panoramic Mountain view as far as you can turn your head from one side to another, with 2-3 rooftops visable at most. Even when it rains it is beautiful! The sunrises are so pretty. The mountains to the northwest literally light up BEFORE the sun breaks the eastern horizon. Full moons on a clear night are fantastic, lighting up the hills and valleys and making all the ridgelines show up at night. Nights with no moon reveal so many stars it reminds you how much residual light there is in most places we live. The fall colors are just stunning and winter leaves the tops of the mountains white with snow and ice and it will snow 3-4 times a year at the house. From a location standpoint, it is a great place to 'base camp' for your exploration of the North Georgia region. Amicalola Falls is 10 minutes, the Appalacian Trail is 10 minutes, two major moutain lakes (Lake Blue Ridge and Carters Lake) are within a half hour. The mountian communities of Ellijay, Blue Ridge, Jasper, Dahlonega are all within a half hour. You can canoe, kayak and raft on the Cartecay River within 10 minutes. You are at the edge of the Chattahoochee National Forest and it can serve as your playground with trails, hatcheries, mountains to climb and streams to swin and fish in. Atlanta and all its attractions are within an hour and 15 minutes. The Ocoee River Oylmpic Whitewater facility is an hour. The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway can be picked up in Ellijay or Blue Ridge and is an open air train that takes you up a river valley all the way to Tennessee. Lots to do. Lots of Places to see. Funny thing is when we stay there, we stay there. We just sit on the deck or in the home with friends and family and enjoy the mountains right from the house. We suspect many of our guests do the same...

We have found our new favorite vacation spot.
First of all I was really impressed with ease of navigating the gravel drive way, Thank you Frank for the simplified instructions you provided us with. We were excited before we walked in After viewing the pictures online, We were expecting it to be nice, Honestly you have to see it first hand to appreciate The beauty of this place From the back deck there is a breath taking view of the mountains The hot was. just the right temperature, We had plenty of room for all five of our family members to sit and relax comfortably. As. we walked into the great room there was such a cozy , welcoming atmosphere, We felt right at home. Everything was so clean and spacious, The fireplace was very well kept and a delight for all of us to sit around and. spend quality time together We played cards, board games and watched tv. The master bedroom was elegant and has avery large romantic jetted tub, There was plenty of closet space in all of the bedrooms. The pool table was one of the nicest I have seen in a rental, The foosball was very entertaining too.The few questions I had for Frank the Owner were answered very promtly and he is patient and answered any question I had , He explains things in a simplistic manner and does not make it complicated. Our past rentals dim in comparision to this one, The pictures were spot on The first level and second level of this home are beautiful, Thank you Frank, You have for sharing your beautiful home and fantastic views with us. You were very kind to me and my wife when spoke with you, You treated us with respect that means alot. I f you come across this home aand decide to rent it, You will be glad you did. Perfect for 3 couples
Great place to stay. Lots of room and the Mountain View’s from the windows and balcony are beautiful. Each couple had a bedroom and bath which was nice. The great room was pretty and we enjoyed a fire nightly as well as the hot tub. It is close to areas for hiking and the quaint towns of Elinjay and Blue ridge for shopping and eating and trying craft beers. The home is older and so the decor and appliances are a bit worn and dated but in working order and the home was clean. check in was a breeze and the owner provided detailed instructions in email in advance. Lights were labeled which helped since there were a lot of them! Great place to stay for 3 couples and maybe some kids. Pet friendly which was nice
Great family weekend
We had a wonderful weekend with the family! Spacious and easily accessible.
Owners care a lot about pleasing their renters. Place was spacious and had hot tub, fire pit, a/c cable tv, comfortable beds. Negative was the road to get up to the home. You need a vehicle with a lot of power, preferably four wheel drive.
Thomas called me upon arrival to state how wonderful the home was. At that point he commented on how challenging the last five miles was to get to the home. I send very specific instructions to every guest with respect to follow MY directions to get to the home, as GPS does not really do so well from time to time. GPS does not know that the county stopped maintaining a road 20 years ago but its still on the map. I asked if Tom had read my pre arrival email and the directions provided. Tom said no I just used my GPS. I can only do so much. Also included was a Word document explaining that this is a mountain home, and if you want a mountain view, you have to get up a mountain. I dont own a four wheel drive vehicle. Most of my guests dont. All you need to do (completely explained in the word document) is drive MORE than ten miles an hour. The is a 600 feet climb in elevation over about 600 yards of road (quarter mile or so) If you try and CREEP up this road at less than 10MPH, and you are in a two wheel drive vehicle, your tires will spin out in the gravel over the last 10-20 yards before the road levels off at the house and driveway. 10 miles is not that fast. Because Tom did not read the pre arrival email I sent, he also did not read the very detailed Word document explaining that you can't drive up this road at 5mph in a two wheel drive car. You will have to back down when your tires loose traction to a flat spot, and do it a second time with more speed. I have rented this home to HUNDREDS of guests since 2004. No one has ever not made it up this hill. Its not that hard. I am sorry he had the challenge with our road, but pleased he enjoyed the home and the view.
