About this property
The Stone Cottage for 2 @ TimberRose Ranch hot tub
Our native Austin stone cottage is a one of a kind treasure for 2. This cottage is modeled after the German Sunday houses of yesteryear unique to Fredericksburg. These cozy one room homes were the weekend retreats of rural farming families when they came into town to shop and attend church.
Darling country design and panoramic views of the ranch. Step out tp enjoy the views with a glass of wine or laze in the hot tub (with some wine of course).
The deck and queen bed is perfect for 2 to enjoy!
Lush pastures, stocked ponds, and the serenity of beautiful miniature Hereford grazing in the sun all about 10 minutes from downtown Fredericksburg. A luxury retreat from the world with every amenity complemented by old-world charm. From the moment you pull up to the private gate, you are welcomed into a working ranch featuring a small herd of miniature Hereford cattle, ducks, and two stocked ponds on 40 acres of Texas countryside – all ready for you to enjoy.
You'll awake refreshed and relaxed from sleeping on luxury linens, feather pillows, and a premium queen bed.
The furnished kitchens provide you an option to never leave the ranch, just bring your groceries with you! Your private guesthouse includes a living area with a TV, Direct TV, and a Blue-Ray player.
With your complete comfort in mind, each private guesthouse is heated and air conditioned and has ceiling fans in most rooms to maintain your comfort. You will enjoy luxury amenities that include clawfoot tubs in the Barnhouse and Stone Cottage. The Grapetown Gasthaus features a unique stone shower. This place was perfect for a quick and sweet honeymoon get away! This cottage had the just what we were looking for in terms of location and activity. It was close to the city and yet far enough away, that we could still enjoy the natural wildlife.
Perfect get away from our busy schedules. Beautiful scenery and a homey place. Everything was just a described within the listing and it even exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be booking another trip in the near future!! The owners were great communicators in providing all the details for our stay!
Ducks, cows, deer, horses, and Alpacas…not to mention peace and quiet all within a short drive to wineries, breweries and Fredericksburg. Who knew there were so many stars in the sky. We highly recommend this stay and property.
We loved our stay!! Very clean, exactly as pictured on the website! Little bit of a drive to the wineries with some twisty roads so be aware if you’ll be drinking. But the house is so quaint and cozy and perfect for a romantic getaway!!
The cottage was perfect for just the wife & I, this being her b’dayvweekend! Spent a very romantic weekend at Stone Cottage, enjoyed seeing the deer, the remoteness of the cottage, yet just a few minutes from dwtwn. F’burg & Trades Day. Enjoyed Trades Day, had an awesome steak dinner at Crossroads Steakhouse, cooked breakfast at the cottage, and absolutely LOVED the hot tub!!!
Looking forward to coming back!!! Will surely recommend to our friends!!! 🌹🎶👍
Absolutely loved this place. The high ceilings made it feel so much bigger and it was charming and cozy. You would think that my husband and I would get a little stir crazy staying that long in a small space, but we never did. We enjoyed our quick trips to Fredericksburg and surrounding small towns. The highlight was viewing the night sky from the hot tub every night.
Our host was the best and quickly resolved an a/c issue that occurred. They continued to follow up to make sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. 5 stars all the way! Highly recommend Stone Cottage.
My wife and I absolutely loved the cabin and property. The cabin was very clean with a rustic farmhouse feel and look to it. Very little traffic noise and it had an isolated feeling that we were looking for. The hot tub was perfect to look at the stars and satellites in the night sky or to watch the sunrise . I will say, if you plan to cook for your spouse; bring what kitchenware you may need. I found myself in a small predicament as I had planned to cook my wife a gourmet dinner. I made do with what the kitchen was furnished with and I was able to cook my wife an amazing meal. There are a few small pots/pans, and a few cooking utensils. Bring a cutting board, kitchen knives or other utensils you may need if you plan to cook for your spouse. Be sure to bring any food storage containers as well. The fridge is a small mini fridge, but we also had an ice chest full of ice to keep things cooled. The kitchen has a nice stove to cook on, and there is also an oven for bake goods . I’m not a Keurig user. And I usually bring my own coffee pot but I forgot it on this trip. I was still able to figure out a way to make some cowboy coffee for my wife and I. The bed was comfy and cozy with a soft mattress and we slept fine. Aside from the lack of kitchen supplies and food storage, everything was amazing. The host was very friendly and was quick to respond to emails. We would definitely stay here again and will likely do so in the near future.
