About this property

Blowing Rock Timber Frame Long Range Views*Pets

If you want a wonderful, relaxing, get away, THIS IS IT! Plenty of privacy, lots of room to enjoy the property, and a fenced in area for your four legged friends. This timber frame home has high timbered wood ceilings and views from the living room, dining room and master bedroom.

If you want lots of room to enjoy the property and relax, this is the property for you! The Manor house is tucked away in its own perfect spot in the mountains. You will feel like you own the Ridge! There is an outside fire pit overlooking the long range views. At the end of the day, we invite you to sit by the fire, spread out and relax with family and friends. We invite you to have a glass of wine or cook smores and roast marshmallows by the fire pit overlooking the ever-changing views. The Fall Foliage is a view of beauty to behold from the property. The timber frame home has windows to enjoy the views from the Main living spaces including the kitchen, living room and the Master Bedroom. There is a leather sofa and leather chairs for luxury seating. There is a wood burning stone fireplace that is a extra special feature in the living room. The kitchen includes granite counter tops and all new stainless steel appliances. There is a large eat in Island in the kitchen. The cottage features the loft style Master bedroom with king size bed and bathroom upstairs, and a queen size guest bedroom on the main floor that serves as a second Master suite and a queen size bedroom/den downstairs, plus a sleep sofa which share a newly renovated full bathroom downstairs with tub only and beautiful comfy beds throughout the house.

Key Residence Features: - Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen including coffee pot, toaster, complimentary wireless internet access, cable TV, wireless Blue ray speaker for playing music, large laundry room downstairs, large deck and backyard, comfortable patio furniture and outdoor dining, ample windows with views, gas grill and more.

If there is anything you need you can always call or text us. We are the owners and take great pride in sharing our beautiful spaces while making your trip comfortable and enjoyable. We also provide Concierge services if you need any special arrangements. You can call ahead and have your fridge stocked up for you or arrange for pet sitting or extra cleanings if you need it.

Elk Ridge Lane is our private road along the Ridge Line. You feel that you are on top of the world with beautiful long range views in two different directions with privacy and lots of room to walk around. You can walk down the private road with your pets and explore the crest of Elk Ridge. We recommend walking them on leashes. There are 6 other houses on the road, two which are on the top of the ridge along the gravel road. The 4th house is just down the the black top road from the house and is a log cabin with plenty of trees and privacy in between. The road to the house is black top and concrete all the way up. The neighbors are friendly if you see them.

Cars are necessary to get around. It is the mountains, so we recommend four wheel drive in the winter months, which for our area include January and February and possibly the first part of March. The road is black top but uphill. It is no problem for most of the year but we can sometimes have winter storms come in quickly. We do plow the road as soon as we can safely do so.

This home was built to take in all of the wonderful views of the mountains. It is the most comfortable home that I have ever lived in. You wake in the morning to the sounds of birds and nature. The view is to the south looking over the John River Gorge. The address is technically Lenoir NC but that is confusing. Lenoir is 20 miles away and this house sits high on the wooded Ridge line just 2.5 miles from the village of Blowing Rock. Yes, it only takes about 5 minutes to drive into the town! The area is Pisgah national Forest and is special in that this area will not be developed in the future due to the National Forest designation. In the winter the view is also very enchanting due to the fact that far, far in the distance you can see the East West corridor of I- 40. We call it the ribbon of lights that run just along the horizon line way out beyond the mountains. It highlights the beauty of the multi layered view of the mountains.

Lovely Mountain home minutes from charming Blowing Rock
What a beautiful mountain home with a spectacular view! We stayed with our toddler, baby & dog for a long Easter weekend & everything went great from booking to leaving. The home was as described & in photos, close to Blowing Rock and hiking trails. Plenty of room and very clean. Lisa was so easy to work with & the views were amazing. The fenced in area is such a big plus for anyone who had a dog. Thanks again for letting us stay & we will def be looking to coming back. Highly recommend this property, you won’t regret it! :)

Amazing views!
Our family had a wonderful time in Blowing Rock. We did hiking and skiing and enjoyed time at the house. Great communication with Lisa who was very prompt with any questions. Plenty of room for us all to spread out and pups loved the fenced in yard.

Absolutely Amazing
Clean, spacious & fully stocked. Property is just beautiful. The kitchen is gorgeous and stocked with all the kitchen gadgets you could ever need. Spectacular view. We enjoyed several campfires. Watching the sunset over the valley - just breathtaking. Fenced in yard - great location for bringing the pups.

Great secluded cabin
We really enjoyed our stay here. The view is incredible and property very well kept, the pictures that were available when we booked it don’t actually do it justice. We appreciated the convenience of being right off 321 (especially coming from Charlotte) but you can’t hear the noise at all when sitting on the view side of the house or inside. Still only a few minutes from everything in blowing rock.

Why they chose this property

Blowing Rock and the mountains of North Carolina have a special place in my heart. It is an intensely spiritual place and being of Native American heritage, I find that I am at peace here. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I have lived in North Carolina all my life but I didn't move here until 2001. It took me that long to get to Gods country!

What makes this property unique

I love coming into this home with its amazing views! The world just slows down when I am relaxing on the decks or in front of the fireplace. It is truly a magical place with luxurious surroundings.
