Home located in downtown Big Bay across from Draver Park. Home was built in 1926 as a school house, located on a large private 1+ acre lot. Plenty of room for vehicles, trailers and campers. Snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ATV riding, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, hunting, and so much more awaits you. Thunder Bay Inn, Big Bay Lighthouse, Lumberjack Bar, Bay Cliff Health Camp, Huron Mountains, Perkins State Park, Thomas Rock, several trails, rivers and waterfalls to explore. Big Bay is 25 miles from Marquette, MI, only a 30 minute drive along County Road 550. The house was very clean and comfortable. We were there to rock climb and it was an easy 15-30 minutes drive to several spots. The host was very responsive and even picked up some additonal puzzles and games when I mentioned we enjoyed having those as options.

Enjoyed our stay

We enjoyed this peaceful home! It was the perfect size for two adults and one toddler. There were family games to play along with a good sized yard to have fun in. There were several personal touches that made our arrival and stay very pleasant.

Perfect little house

Group of 4 guys stayed for a fishing trip. There are only 3 beds, but the hosts graciously offered to bring a rollaway in for us. Owners were very prompt and helpful with any issues we had. Nice clean place

The perfect house for a UP vacation!

This little house was perfect for our vacation. Everything was as we'd hoped it would be. The full kitchen is well stocked, making meals as easy as could be. The washer and dryer, extra supplies, air conditioning, and wifi were all very appreciated. Beds were comfortable, smart TV whandy, and check in was a breeze. We will definitely stay again, next time we're in the area.

Cozy cottage

This property was exactly as advertised. It was super clean and had lots of extra touches, my husband especially like the candy bowl. In addition to the candy bowl there was a fully stocked kitchen, plenty of bathroom towels and the beds were firm and super comfy. Highly recommend!

I stayed in the little school house for 5 weeks. Was there because my daughter who lives close by had a baby. Enjoyed every minute. Got a lot of snow during my stay but the owner had someone come and plow right away. Have already booked again next yearThis was my second stay in the little school house

Weeklong Getaway in the Big Bay

Overall we had an enjoyable stay. The home was immaculately clean and well kept and the beds were very comfortable. The only issue we had was the loose cold water knob in the shower but it was not unusable, just made adjusting the water temperature difficult. We would stay here again if planning to see Marquette or hiking in the surrounding area.

Nice little house

Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay in this house. It’s a small but well kept little house that was sufficient for our needs. The host provided a roll away bed so we could sleep 6. Communication with the host was excellent.

Exactly what we wanted!

We loved this property and the location, midway between visiting both sides of the peninsula. The house was set up perfectly. Great kitchen and bed. TV for night watching. Washer/dryer. AC! Great hostess! Lots of nearby hikes. We would definitely book again.

Wonderful place to stay and to see the Northern Lights!

This property was perfect for our company of three. It was well furnished with comfortable beds, sofa, and chairs. We really appreciated the washer and dryer since we had been on the road for several days. The roads to Marquette were excellent because shopped and ate there several times. Highly recommend it in part because we all had the Northern Lights on our Bucket Lists and went out in the cornfield across the street and saw a beautiful display around 11pm.

Big Bay

It was exactly how they described it. Very cute! Sleeps 5 No dressers or closets in either bedroom. Just a large bar to hang up clothes. Which was fine for just the 2 of us. We laid things out on the extra beds. Could use a few extra blankets thou. Internet was in and out a lot. But you are really up there. A early check in time might be nice. Like 1 or 2 .check in was 4:00 Would recommend.

Splendid cottage! Very clean and very well organized and stocked! Located close to several wonderful waterfalls and Lake Superior. Big Bay is a very curious little hamlet with everything you need blocks way!

Very nice and clean place looking forward to coming back next year also there is plenty of parking nice large driveway. It was more than what we expected!! Great little town as well. Great trails for riding UTV's.
