We live in Atlanta, but love to get away to the beautiful North Georgia mountains whenever we can! We can't be in our beautiful Treehouse all the time and enjoy hosting families and friends who also enjoy a relaxing retreat surrounded by nature and all of the outdoor opportunities at the cabin and in the area.

Why they chose this property

Treehouse by the Creek is located right on the banks of Mountaintown Creek, which flows into the Cartecay River right in the neighborhood. The cabin is located in the Coosawattee River Resort gated community that offers lots of amenities such as swimming pools, creek and river access, a gym and community center as well as an arcade. However, when you are at the cabin you feel secluded and far away from other cabins as it is at the end of the road and surrounded by trees. We love to spend time at the cabin in the hot tub, playing games with family and also day trips to all that the area offers. It's a short trip to downtown Ellijay or Blue Ridge for unique dining and shopping. Carters Lake is only a few miles away and is the deepest lake in Georgia! excellent for boating and fishing. There are many hiking trails and waterfalls nearby to explore. Tubing is a great way to spend the day in the Summer. Apple picking and visiting local wineries is amazing in the Fall. No matter how many times you visit the area, there is still always something new to discover and explore.

What makes this property unique

The Treehouse offers so much outdoor living space and private access to the large creek. The creek has v-shaped fishing traps constructed hundreds of years ago by the native Cherokee and has a serene, mystical quality to it that is truly relaxing.
