Beautiful location. Parking staff rude.

The condo was nice. Amenities are as advertised. There is a small porch out back. Kitchen has plenty of dishes to cook with. No seasonings and bring your own coffee but there is a good coffee pot. There are some lightbulbs and lighting, not working in the condo itself. Main living room, light with fan -light does not turn on. Main bedroom lights over TV don’t turn on. There was a broken lamp located in master bedroom as well. Garbage left in one of the master bedroom drawers on arrival. There were also small cockroaches throughout the weekend. Especially at night when I got up to get water. Turn the light on and they scurry. Overall the condo itself was quiet, pleasant, and enjoyable. The one major problem we had this weekend is that the security guards for parking were very rude. There was not totally clear instruction through rental with Vacasa about parking. The parking passes on the counter in the condo were not sufficient for the guards. Multiple times the guards were very rude to us. Poor hospitality and very Poor customer service. This weekend we got a place on the beach because we had a funeral to go to. Wanted a nice place to grieve this weekend, but these people in the security office throughout the weekend ruined the experience. The sauna, and the spa hot tub was nice and clean. Definitely well maintained. But again, the guards control access to the key. . . Which they hassled us about not returning within 3 hours. No clear instruction. will not return.

Just Beaching It!

We enjoyed our trip. It was easy to access our condo. The beach and pool were beautiful. We loved the location. Our unit was just as it was described. It had a great deal of cookware. The back patio with tables and chairs were nice. It was in need of several light bulbs in different rooms. Other than that, it was great!

I mostly blame Vacasa and not the unit

We arrived on Sunday to no internet or television. We immediately texted Vacasa of the issue. We repeated this on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We were told someone was coming so we basically had to stay on property so someone could check out the tv. No one ever came and we kept getting messages that someone was coming. We are huge basketball fans and had to go out somewhere showing the women’s and men’s national championship games. My mother traveled with us and when she was tired of the beach and sun was basically just sitting in a quiet condo with just her games on iPad. I had business meetings that I had to conduct in a common area just to be able to Zoom. Very embarrassing. Even when I reached out to VRBO about the issues I was told VRBO couldn’t do anything and wouldn’t be able to help. So bottom line… rent directly from Rl Matador. The only reason why we stayed is because of the timing (Spting Break) and location. The location was nice and just a short 3-5 minute walk to the beach. It is an older place and the lighting is not as bright as pictures. One twin bed was caving in and needs to be replaced but everything else was decent. I will say it was the El Matador on property staff that made it better by trying to help but there were things out of their control. But it was rough having an older mother and two teens without tv and internet and limited mobility due to waiting on someone that never came. Both VRBO and Vacasa must do better!!!
