About this property
3BR Newly Renovated House in the heart of Sturgeon Bay
Recently renovated 3 BR, 1700 sf 4-square home in the heart of Sturgeon Bay. Just a few blocks from 3rd Avenue shops and restaurants. Beautiful new kitchen, bathrooms, addition and deck. The space We finished renovating this gem in 2018. It's immaculately decorated and has all of the amenities. About the host
Hosted by Philip Lyons
We live full time in the Madison WI area. Phil’s a musician and retired high school art teacher, and renovation contractor. Judy is an RN who also recently retired! We have three grown sons.
Why they chose this property
In June of 2017 we visited Sturgeon Bay for the “Steel Bridge Song Fest”. Our son Sam is a musician and was one of the writer/performers. We rented an AirBnb house on 4th Ave., and over a long weekend, fell in love with Sturgeon Bay. Less than 5 weeks later we closed on this house on 7th Place. The house needed plenty of work, including raising some of the foundation, tearing off a leaky back porch, building an addition and deck in it’s place, converting the smallest bedroom upstairs into a bathroom, gutting the kitchen, new insulation and siding . . . and more. We did most of the work ourselves along with our friends Jon and Rob. The renovations took a full year to complete, but we couldn’t be more pleased with how everything turned out. We love it up here and know you will too!
What makes this property unique
Sturgeon Bay has SO much going on including a vibrant art and music scene. It's also a great launching point for activities in the rest of Door County just north of us!
