About this property

Casa Buho- Relax and Reset

Peaceful and serene, this ranch style home is situated on 6 acres of private land. The home is spacious and airy with breath taking views of the Topa Topa peaks. The kitchen is generous in size and makes a wonderful place to cook and host large gatherings. We recommend dining al fresco on one of the patios in the warmer months! You can catch Ojai's iconic "pink moment" sunset from almost anywhere but, we suggest viewing it poolside. There are plenty of biking and hiking trails nearby. Downtown Ojai is a scenic 15 minute drive where you can find world class restaurants, shopping, spas, and golf!

The property was absolutely amazing. Our host gave us great instructions on how to get to the property easily. It's got a little bit of everything for every type of guest. We really enjoyed our time in the pool and spending quality time in the large living room and kitchen. All the rooms were very spacious and clean. Overall, highly recommend!

The place is perfect for large family reunions or getaways. There is ample group space both inside the home and outside and outside the group areas have ample seating and cover. The location is peaceful--the occasional rooster crowing or horse braying adds to the country experience. Chris was very helpful and prompt in responses. The pool was the highlight, good size and lots of seating with umbrellas for cover. Our family of six adults three kids 6 and under had a great time.

Gorgeous getaway in a quiet beautiful place

We rented Casa Buho for a girlfriend getaway for my best friends from across the US. The property is 15 minutes outside of downtown Ojai but feels remote and private. The great room is spacious, with a wonderful conversation area near the gas fireplace next to kitchen and dining. The space is far more beautiful than the photos suggest and it’s a great place to cook a wonderful meal and hang out inside or out. Comfortable beds, and nice linens—casually luxurious. Chris (the host) is super-responsive and lovely to work with. Highly recommend this place for a very special stay!

A beautiful reprieve for longtime friendships

A Magical Ojai Escape for Lifelong FriendsOur group of college roommates gathered at Casa Bujo to celebrate a milestone birthday year - and it could not have been more perfect. The property is both spacious and soulful—a true sanctuary nestled in nature. Days were spent lounging by the pool, and afternoons brought us together around the shaded fire pit to chat, laugh, and graze on snacks.The house itself is beautifully appointed, with comfortable bedrooms/beds and common areas that offered a cool and restful retreat when the sun warmed the valley. The large kitchen enhanced the experience - and the heart of our stay was the indoor-outdoor converted barn, where we shared every meal around the long family table. One evening, local Chef Robin treated us to a culinary adventure we’ll never forget—elevating our stay into something truly extraordinary.The grounds felt enchanted—roses and lavender in bloom, bees buzzing, welcoming bunnies in the morning and tree frogs at night, and even a majestic buck deer paying a visit. With so much beauty and comfort right on site, we never felt the need to leave. Casa Bujo offered the perfect "totally Ojai" backdrop for reconnection, reflection, and pure joy. We’re already dreaming of our return.

We held our first women's retreat here. It was a spiritual and restful grounds which allowed us time together and space to be in solitude. We are hoping to make this an annual retreat here.
