How many can say “we stayed in downtown Santa Fe, NM?” Or in these times, worked and vacationed in Santa Fe? Located one block away from the plaza, or otherwise known as the heart and soul of Santa Fe, this casita is close to many great restaurants, galleries and shops. Arts districts including Canyon Road and the Railyard are within walking distance. Not to mention, a grocery store is just one block away, ensuring you can stock the fridge with all your favorite snacks for your stay. Another popular attraction that brings people to Santa Fe is mountains and high-desert landscapes. These sites are just a short daytrip away.
Staying true to its surroundings, Turquoise Butterfly has all the old doors, adobe walls, and Santa Fe art throughout that gives you an appreciate for the attention to detail and nod to the city’s culture. Enter the casita by climbing a mosaic art stairway and find yourself on a private patio with flowers and treetops.
This rental was built in the early 1900s and has an old-world charm to it indicated by carved wood doors, tall ceilings and hardwood floors. Step into vacation mode as you walk through the door and find a cozy, light-filled room with a skylight and wooden architectural highlights. An arched fireplace adorns your view with its high mantel. The living room offers a beautiful leather couch, TV, and dining area, ensuring you make yourself at home.
The kitchen has a full-size refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, oven and microwave. Handmade red and turquoise tiles reflect Santa Fe colors and make the kitchen an inviting place to cook. You will love time spent here preparing snacks and home-cooked meals for your crew in a stunning, clean kitchen.
The bright colors continue into each bedroom. The primary bedroom is complete with old turquoise doors and a kiva fireplace welcoming you to a wonderful night’s sleep. The third bedroom is connected to the primary. Through the primary bedroom you will find a lovely primary bathroom with two petrified wood sinks, a tub/shower combination, and an alcove complete with a washer and dryer. The second bathroom includes a large, spa-quality shower.
One of most popular features of this home is the private porch and deck. Kick back, relax and enjoy the cool weather of Santa Fe. The Santa Fe River Park is across the street, so you can jog or walk easily. The large courtyard next door would be a great spot to start a new book, reflect on your exciting day or plan tomorrow’s adventures. The quartz fountain in the courtyard is breathtaking, and the sound of the falling water will take your stress away.
