Happy with our stay but read on.
We rented this place for a family gathering on Thanksgiving of 2019. Here's a little insight of my experience during our stay. In short, If you're looking for a place for a family of 8ish to stay but don't plan to hang out at the house for the most part then this place is great. If you're looking for a place where people will be hanging out for a big part of the day then there may be better options out there.
Pros: Great location, quiet neighborhood, within proximity to many shops and restaurants and about 15 minutes from the beaches. House is spacious and include 4 readily available beds that sleeps 6 comfortably, any more than that you're looking at old pull out beds etc. Large yard, great view of the river and local wildlife.
Cons: Place definitely feels outdated, I appreciate the antique style of furnishing but the cupboards, doors, beds, bathrooms, faucets, showers and all feel a bit abandon, "janky" and in need of some serious TLC.

Perfect location for our event, eclectic furnishings but very comfortable, plenty of seating for the family inside and on patio, property managers were very responsive and accommodating, and the view was superb.
We came to Stuart because of its great location for good fishing. We were told we could bring our boat and dock it on the water behind the house but had to pay extra for that. This was one of the main reasons we selected this place. We were told we had to bring our own bumpers. What they didn’t tell us that on this particular part of the river that the house is on has no wake restrictions. Our 22’ boat was battered severely to the point we had to remove it. The person managing the place acknowledged to us that he was aware how bad it was. We would not have stayed there had they been upfront about that. We wanted the ease of getting up each morning and walking out to our boat and going fishing. That’s what we paid for!
There was NO regular basic cable TV. The tv service that was provided was a freebie to the owner, it had select shows that were targeting very young adults, with frequent pauses. No local news. The only saving grace was a fishing channel. But for three days that was tiresome.
No toiletries. We had to supply toilet paper, paper towels, soap, kitchen soap, etc. The bath towels were one step above rags. The handle in the master shower was loose and fell off, which the manager came and fixed. The pull out stove in the kitchen that was from the sixties or maybe fifties, didn’t work. So all the groceries we bought in order to save a little money on eating out was wasted. The manager couldn’t fix it the stove.
The owner apologized and said she would refund a part of my money but to this day I have received nothing and it’s been three weeks.
The place was clean, and the location was great for our purpose. But the house is severely out dated, cracked and uneven floors, and not equipped for a comfortable stay for the money they charged. I would not recommend this place.
I am very sorry these tenants were so disappointed. I wish they had let us know about all of their concerns while they were staying, as all but one of them were immediately addressable. They did not complain about anything to us except the shower handle and stove while they were staying.
The house is located on the river in a slow wake zone, not a minimum wake zone. We do not hide this fact. With proper docking boats are safe. However, if a tenant has trouble, we can help them or we may, with our assistance, allow them to use the boat lift. We always charge a $50 fee if the tenant brings a boat(s) and this is noted on our listing.
The house has a flat screen, smart TV with the DIRECTV Xtra package, and this is noted on our listing. The tenants must not have been operating the remotes correctly and did not let us know that they were having trouble. If they had contacted us we could have shown them how to properly operate the TV and cable channels.
No one has ever complained about the towels. If they had let us know and it was a valid complaint we would have replaced the towels that day for them.
We never supply household consumables and/or toiletries and we do not hide this fact. It is on our listing as well as in our check-in instructions.
The faucet was fixed as soon as they notified us of the problem.
I have no idea what they mean by cracked and uneven floors.
The stove has been replaced. The built-in stove was a dated stove, which is noted multiple times on our listing. It did work, however, up until they arrived. When they notified us of it not working, we went over immediately to try and remedy the situation. The stove was not fixable. Because it was built into the cabinets, replacing it was a construction project that we did after they checked out. There was an electric cooktop available for them to use in lieu of the stove, and I DID refund them one full night (out of a three night stay).
Again, I feel terrible that they were so unhappy. When this occurs (which is very rare), we try everything we can within reason to accommodate the unhappy tenants, including allowing them to cancel their stay with a full refund. We cannot do this, however, without knowing about the problems and/or dissatisfaction while the tenants are at the house. Reporting it afterwards does not allow us the opportunity to make it better.

Family and I really enjoyed the home, it really takes you back in time. Morning coffee with manatees and dolphins, owner is very responsive and property is immaculate. We will be back!
Great location to have family for the holiday
Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying at the home , as it fit the needs of our family perfectly .. the only suggestion we had is to mark the step out in the screened in porch as both my aunts fell as they couldn’t tell the difference between the floor and the step.
