About this property

On this 29 acres of naturally beautiful farmland you will find plenty of trails in the forest perfect for a early morning walk, or a late night adventure. There is a big beautiful lake perfect for fishing, with a small island in the middle with a gazebo on the island. Two small fairytale like bridges driving up to the property. Plenty of wide open space, stunning for any activity you can possibly think of. Perfect for a quiet country getaway. We’re also only a short 45 minute drive to Dallas.
The space
The grey house on the pond is a boat house, not the actual building you will be staying in.
Guest access
There is a small shack next to the main home that you do not have access to. It may be unlocked, but please do not enter it is a private area.
Other things to note
There is a small 2 person paddle boat inside the fishing dock to get to the island and to go around the pond. There is a pulley system however it is very complicated I haven’t even figured it out myself. The boat is very very light easy to pull out of the water with two people. We recommend you bring it over to the creek and get in from there.

Fishing escape

This is a great piece of property and very beautiful. The entry is about 1/2 mile of huge oak tree lined driveway. The grounds are park like. At one time it appears that perhaps RVs and camping was done since there are electrical outlets under some trees. The pond is obviously good fishing, there is a picture of a 11.2 lb bass on the wall. I caught 5 bass and one ginormous bream, easily casting from the shore. I would recommend this place to anyone that really wants privacy since there is nothing close to the house. It is very quiet and peaceful. The house is quite adequate although I have to admit the beds were just a bit worn for my old back. I give the owner 6 stars for being a nice guy. I had shut the back door in a rain shower just a bit too quickly and hit myself in the behind with the door window. The window cracked and then shattered as it was safety glass. We cleaned it up and sealed the opening with trach bags and tape. The owner could not have been nicer about the whole issue and the $59 damage insurance paid for the glass replacement with no problems whatsoever. I would certainly stay here again and would use a boat to better fish the pond.

Cozy little get away

Perfect spot for a cozy getaway from life. We had a good time just enjoying nature, fishing on the lake snd animal watching. Perfect for anyone looking to unwind and relax and get away from the hustle and bustle. Highly recommend. Host was awesome and very accommodating
