Summary:

Welcome to your spacious retreat in the charming town of Medford, just minutes from downtown Boston and steps from Tufts University. This well-appointed 2-bedroom home with separate office offers 1,200 square feet of living space, making it an ideal choice for families and groups. Enjoy the convenience of free parking and a prime location that makes exploring Boston a breeze. After a day of adventure, return to your comfortable home away from home.



The Space:

Locally hosted by Musi Management, our home is a short 15 minute walk to the Green Line train and features over 1,200 square feet across 6 furnished rooms. We don't require any "check out chores" upon departure - simply enjoy your stay!



This generously sized, 2 bedroom condo is on the first floor of a multifamily home. (see other listing in my profile).



We are on a quiet street walking distance to Tufts University and several excellent cafes and restaurants (see my guidebook for details),

Guest Access:

One free, off-street parking spot included with EV charging. You will have full access to the first floor unit with the exception of one locked storage closet.



Getting Around:

15 minute walk to Green Line Medford/Tufts stop



Other Things to Note:

Our driveway can comfortably accommodate 1 vehicle. An EV charger (NACS & J1772) is available free of charge for reasonable use. There is one charger shared between two units.



Public transportation:



60 second walk to the bus stop (Boston, Somerville and Cambridge) and only 1 mile to Davis Square Red Line Subway and 0.7 miles to the Medford/Tufts Green Line stop



We have exterior only security cameras for the safety of both our guests and property. These cameras are actively recording both audio and video outside all entrances and side doors. Any tampering with cameras, including, but not limited to covering and otherwise disabling of these cameras are grounds for early termination of reservation with no refunds whatsoever.



Absolutely no smoking inside or near open exterior doors - there is a $250 fee if this is violated.



No "check out chores" - simply enjoy your stay!

As opposed to so many rental properties with a bare minimum of conveniences, this owner was very conscientious to make sure that the kitchen was well stocked with staples and spices as well as appliances and utensils. He even left some snacks for us. These conveniences are greatly appreciated.

Perfect holiday family place

Great place, office was perfect. Parking great even w a big car. Didn’t need to do anything at checkout.snackies on arrival was amazing!! Only thing I suggest is to put 2 folding chairs in the closet for guests!

Perfect for visiting Tufts and city

Comfortable place with free parking, well stocked with coffees, creamers, snacks and candy. Beds and couch were comfortable. Would be perfect with updated bathroom and kitchen. Also using “office” as an additional bedroom would allow for more guests.

Hi Kristen, thank you for your visit. This property is advertised to accommodate a maximum of 4 guests and I kindly ask larger groups to consider my 3 bed apartment (available on my profile). For guest convenience, the office is equipped with an electric standing desk, additional 22” monitor, an office chair, and a crib for guests traveling with infants.

Wonderful find! This place was perfect for me and my friend. The proximity to Tufts (walking distance) was fantastic, and the street was quiet despite being quite near Main Street, Medford. The owner was very responsive to a minor concern, and the place was well-appointed and lovely. If my daughter weren't graduating this May I would make this my go to place for gatherings near Tufts.

Spacious, tidy and convenient

The first floor apartment had a nice open floor plan with lots of room for the four of us. The kitchen was especially spacious! Every nook and cranny of the space was very clean. The walk to the Green Line at Tufts was super convenient. And the neighborhood was very quiet. Definitely recommend!

Excellent Home Base

We had a wonderful time staying here. The house was better than expected - the pictures don’t do the space justice. There were four of us (two adults, 2.5 year old, and 6 month old), and we have an ability to spread out and take up space very quickly. We never felt cramped and had lots of options as we figured out the best sleeping arrangement for everyone. There was a crib and high chair which made it much easier to pack and everything in the apartment seemed clean and in good shape. The property manager was very communicative and supportive. The location was perfect with its ease of access from the highway and walkable distance to the T. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful Home away from home!

We loved this house. Super clean and spotless. Lots of room and the perfect place to relax after a busy day in boston. I would stay here again in a heart beat. The house had everything we needed. Kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked (forgot shampoo, so that was a nice bonus!). Beds are comfy and clean. We appreciated the coffee in the kitchen each morning. And having AC in the bedrooms was great. Loved this place! And best of all, driveway parking! Didn't know how important that was in Boston. The whole booking and entry process was very easy. Quick responses when I had questions. Super stay!

Top notch in every category - but noise from above was excessive

Everything about the place was top notch. Others have described the good stuff so I won't be redundant. It was very, very nice.The problem that we had was that we were in the below unit and the people in the above unit - well their floor was our roof. They either were teaching a dance class or had a couple of small kids with heavy shoes running back and forth above us all night long. The host contacted them the next day and they were MUCH more respectful and quiet. But then they left and the next people that showed up above us must have also had small kids - running back and forth and back and forth. We contacted the host once again and he contacted the new people above us about the floor/ceiling issue and the quiet hours, but this group didn't listen to him and our 4th night was as noisy, driving us crazy with all the "thud, thud, thud" from above as the 1st and 3rd nights. I don't know if there is any solution - this is an old home and the upstairs people's floor is the downstairs people's roof. If you get the wrong people above you, it can drive you crazy. Perhaps that should be mentioned in the listing. I would stay here again anytime - in the UPPER rooms, but I couldn't take another night of kids running back and forth in the lower rooms.Other than that, everything else was absolutely great. Maybe the thudding from above wouldn't bother other families as much as it bothered us or maybe we just got really unlucky with the people above us, but for us it wasn't fun. :(

Hi Ian, Thanks again for visiting, and I truly appreciate your recognition of the apartment’s quality. The second group did have young children, and I’m sorry they didn’t respect the quiet hours despite my outreach. Had I known the issue continued, I would’ve gladly followed up by phone or taken further action if necessary. I have no hesitation asking guests to leave if their behavior is truly disruptive or destructive. Having lived in both units myself, I agree the first floor can experience occasional thuds, though I’ve never encountered consistent noise that prevents sleep. That said, I understand how frustrating it can be when the upstairs activity is excessive. I’ve explored taking down the ceiling to install rockwool soundproofing between the floors, but unfortunately, even that won’t block the kind of heavy-footed jumping we sometimes see from young children. I purposely placed the crib in the first floor unit in an effort to attract families away from the second floor. I do hope you’ll consider staying with us again in the future—perhaps in the upper unit. I’d love the opportunity to host you under better circumstances. Best, Joe Musi Musi Management LLC
