The Marshall House is located just 2 blocks from the Niagara Falls Aquarium and State Park. The Burd room is named after Ellen Burd, the great-granddaughter of the original owners, James and Lida Marshall. The room has a queen bed, Firestick TV, and a private bath with a tub and shower just steps down the hall. Or for groups traveling together that also rent the Marshall room, the attached Jack and Jill bathroom between the two rooms can be shared.

Charming and Unique

We so enjoyed our stay at the Marshall House. We aren’t typically the B&B type of travelers but wanted to try something different on our Niagara leg. Can’t say enough--Cherrish was so easy to work with, checking in and out was immensely easy, all of the hosts were so friendly, the daily breakfast was stellar and The Burd Room was comfy and so unique. You have your own private bathroom next to the room, and you can easily walk to the falls (approximately 10 minute walk) from the property. We chose to walk across to the Canadian side to sightsee as well and it’s beautiful. Go early and you’ll miss the lines. There’s numerous places to grab a bite and drinks nearby. Owners were so great about offering suggestions, as we were first-timers. Thank you again for opening your home to us. (: Amy & Jason Beck

The Marshall house

This was a lovely historic home. The owners had lots of historical information posted about the house that was very interesting. The hospitality and MaryJean’s gourmet breakfasts were worth the price of admission. About a 3-4 minute drive from Niagara Falls! We would definitely stay there again!

Matt and Cherrish Beals purchased The Marshall House in January of 2022. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004 after the City of Niagara Falls Historian purchased and restored it. Matt and Cherrish have added a museum of artifacts curated by James G Marshall's great-granddaughter which includes his wife Lida's 1898 wedding dress and daughter Dorothy's wedding veil, train, and shoes from 1924. Mary Jean, a longtime friend, lives on site and prepares a 2-course breakfast with something sweet and something savory each morning. She's truly the hostess with the mostess! Cherrish was once employed by Ritz Carlton and applies the same attention to detail and 5 star level of service to The Marshall House. All love the opportunity to share the beauty and history of Niagara Falls with people from all over the world!
