This fantastic dog-friendly home is located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills in a secluded cul de sac neighborhood overlooking Wright Brothers Memorial national park right from the backyard. Take a short half-mile bike ride to the beach to one of the best public beaches with updated showers and restrooms. With this location, you are less than three miles from the Avalon Fishing Pier, grocery stores, and restaurants.

Your private backyard offers a bubbly hot tub, a gas grill for warm-weather barbecues, and a nice oversized deck to unwind and relax. Inside this hexagon-shaped home, you will find a homey open floor plan with beach-themed decor throughout. Prepare delicious feasts in the open, fully-equipped kitchen, and then enjoy them along with your loved ones at the dining table surrounded by a pentagon-shaped bench. Then, unwind by streaming a favorite show on the wall-mounted smart TV.

Overall ok

Overall the property was ok. The house could use a deep cleaning. Floors were swept but appeared to not be mopped in quite some time. The back yard and deck could use some attention. Broken furniture and trash all Over the yard. Hot tub was ok but not super clean.

Needs Improvement

Let me start by saying this is a nice house overall and a great location. However there we some issues with this house as follows; Hottub was low of water and caused jets to not work properly, pull out sofa bed had dirty sheets, house was dusty, the sliding glass back door is old and was difficult to open and close. When I reached out to maintenance they never bothered to get back to me or change the sheets on the sofa bed so one of our group members had no where to sleep comfortably. I think overall they need a better maintenance crew to clean this house and the hot tub needs water. I have photo evidence of everything I am saying. We stayed here sept 2023

Very friendly bugs and doors

Upon arrival we were greeted by the resident spiders. Once entering the property the doors were so happy to have us they fell off their hinges. Overall good value for the money unless you have an irrational fear of spiders, cicadas, and palmetto bugs.

Problems!!!

Beware of cockroaches!! Although we love the look of this house, there were a lot of problems. One of the queen beds broke just from sitting on it and we had to sleep with the middle completely sunken in. It was fixed the next day, but not until 9:45 at night until like 10:45. And It was loud! The plumbing backed up and we had to try to fix it ourselves. The hot tub was nice, but the deck seems very old and you will need shoes while walking on it. There were old chairs by the fire pit and 2 were completely broken. The grass was so high! There was also bags of trash in the back next to the hot tub in the shower. Although we had a good time despite these things, the house definitely needs some work!
