*Updated for the 2024 season* Kill Devil Thrills is located between the 3rd St beach access & public boat docks on the sound side. This private home has a fully enclosed back yard for kids or dogs to play. A large front porch overlooks a quiet street where a short walk will take you to Bay drive to enjoy a lovely walking and biking trail as well as breathtaking sunset views. Enjoy the hot tub as you kick back and relax on your “thrilling” getaway!
Sand toys, beach chairs, and 2 adult beach bikes are provided.
World famous beaches, fishing, hang gliding, kayaking and more, are all activities that OBX has to offer!
Approximately 10 minute walk to beach and restaurants.
Space to park your boat, house is located around the corner from public boat access on the sound. There is a gas grill available for guests enjoyment, as well. Due to Covid sensitivities, sheets and pillow cases are available upon request at booking.

Getaway weekend

We were looking for a quiet house on the sound side for a weekend getaway and we weren’t disappointed. The location was perfect and there was a beautiful walking trail. The hot tub was perfect for the cool nights. Amy answered immediately and was very generous. The house was clean and stocked up on all essentials needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Repeat Stay

This was our 2nd stay at this property. It yas become our home of choice when we visit OBX. The location is perfect- central and easy access to everything. Easy drive to the beach or great walk to the Sound. The house has everything to make for a convenient comfortable stay. Our pup enjoys the completely fenced in back yard and front porch. The hot tub is a bonus at the end of a fun day. The owner is quick to respond to communication and offers the best tips and advice for a great visit. We can't wait to return to Kill Devil Thrills!

Nice property

This home is comfortable and set up nicely for visitors. It was very dusty when we arrived, so I felt we had to clean the surfaces. Otherwise tidy and neat. Our only real problem was at the back door which led to backyard and hot tub, there were huge spiders spinning webs. We’d knock them down a couple times a day but overnight they were back with a big web each morning.

Great Location

We had an amazing stay making great memories! Very conveniently located to & just moments away from several beach access points, grocery store, gas and car wash. mSupet cute home with the added touches of beach themed decor, very well done! Truly made my heart happy! All the conveniences if home. We'd add The Jolly Roger to their list of great places to eat! Future guests ... be sure to go to the boat ramp for a sunset you won't regret! *Fly a kite on Jockey's Ridge * visit the lighthouses * go horsebacking riding down in Frisco * catch a sunrise & watch everything wake up

Why they chose this property

This property offers a fully enclosed yard for kids and dogs to play, a private hot tub, a balcony that over looks a quiet street which is just a few minutes walk to nature and biking trail that runs parallel to the bay. Beautiful sunset views! Bring your boat! Close to kayak and boat launch.

Property is equidistant between ocean (3rd St beach access) and the Public boat dock on the bay (sound side) where the most gorgeous sunsets can be seen.
